This multiplayer mode- which is essentially a gow inspired powerstone game- will be just fine without kratos.
This is Microsoft paying attention to ios and droid markets and going the same route. It's been working for them, why not Microsoft?
IMO it's a smarter business model to have these types of devices directly sub. by services than to sell them at full price. It's just better business. Plus it puts Microsoft in a better position to combat the oncoming apple/google threat.
Like it or not, I predict this model will at least match, and then eventually f...
love the article headline, indi-scribably clever w a side of cheese
take away all the permanently broken Rrod systems that microsoft knowingly sold in the ps3 easily has the second highest install base of usable systems, it continues to out sell 360 world wide despite being the most expensive console, and is the only manufacturer who delivers its customers a steady stream of amazing exclusives. Lol
this website will be sega next generation effin hit hungry morons
I'm saddened by how cynical so many of these responses are. Not only do we get another amazing single player god of war game- just wait till the single player stuff gets revealed, sure it will be amazing- but we also get an entirely new extra game mode that we can play with our friends for FREE.
I don't personally play multiplayer games much but the vast majority of people do. If this change helps persuade those people to go pick up a copy than I'm all for it. It ...
'Ayyyy papy' and other 'whos ur papy' puns for the win, thank god 'of war' for Sony exclusives :-)
kevin butler should be the boss!
maybe this is the sequel to payday the heist
With the exception of Uncharted, Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver, and Portal 2 (insert your favorite game I missed), story telling in games is just pitiful. IMO, with the exception of Amy Hennig and the guys at Valve, almost all game writing amounts to unimaginative stereotypical bs designed to appeal to the very lowest end of teenage sensibilities.
But you know what, No one plays these games for story, we play them in spite of the story.
Mario Galaxy has a horri...
Like the idea but its really gonna come down to content, if its a full flegged exploration type game could be great, a short experience type thing w little to no challange less so
Mariokart and gran turismo say hello
This thing costs how much for sub ps3 graphics, no blue ray, no proper controller, shit exclusives, and a one-maybe two year dev support before u have to get a new one, lol
dont get me wrong, it looks lovely, buts not gonna replace anything except for the most casual of players looking for a quick fix on the go
Cant wait
I honestly believe it's completely natural for western gamers and developers to move away from Japanese created games.
But I feel this has more to do with the game market's evolution than anything else. We have a lot larger industry now which caters to a lot wider variety of gamers and with very different tastes in games.
It's only natural then that Western developers would be the best suited to creating games for western audiences.

I think his comments about difficulty in games is valid, especially from an experienced players perspective. Games used to do a lot less hand holding, did a lot less explaining, and were a lot harder than they are today.
That said, I see this as less of a Japanese vs Western developer issue and more of a casual vs experienced player design choice.
It really has to do with the target audience of your game. If you want to make games with mass appeal, which the ...
i predicted this when rumors of a screened controller were everywhere, before nintendo actually announced/showed wiiu! Check my post history :-)
This is the next and very logical step for the portable devices we all carry around now, and as corny as it might sound, marks the beginning of a new age for man kind. One where the real and virtual worlds will begin to merge.
Glasses like this, especially as they get more powerful, could project a near infinite amount of information and of any kind, connecting us with each other and a sea of information well beyond what's currently available.
I imagine s...
The 7 was actually a typo, lol, in any case it was twice as much as the launch of ps2 and significantly more expensive than its competitors. Point is nintendo didnt offer a better gaming experience and microsoft didnt either. Sony priced themselves out of first place, plane and simple.
Um, well said?
I pedict games which finally combine glasses based 3D w monocular virtual window head tracking 3d effect for what sony will call holographic gaming
