The article neglects to address a very very big issue, which is the fact that most purchases of ios devices are heavily subsidised by phone carriers. This is the reason they are able to have the kind of market pentration they have. Not sure TV's fit into this model!
Why not just provide a portable device/phone which seemlessly sincs with your tv and is powerful enough to run all this type of media? If a next gen i-phone/table came with a tv/monitor docking thingy OUT OF THE...
I might be alone on this but I actually liked the old whimsical cartoony look much better! It had a nice "Heart of Darkness" like charm to it; that old Saterday morning cartoon vibe thing.
The new art style just looks uninspired/blah to me by comparison. Plus the more mature style does not appear to be matched by the required increase in graphic fidelity, ie the graghics look like an early ps3 game now. Point being I'd rather have a game with simple stylized ...
Hope this is true. It's the kind of fan service gamers want and it's just smart to do from a brand recognition/marketing standpoint!
I personally still think they should have gone this direction with LBP. Imagine a LBP 3 which consists entirely of themed levels and abilities from all the major sony franchises. Modnation and hotshots too.
I personally love this one- it's from the original trailer for the first game and also played during the credits from one of the 5 endings (although it was suspiciously missing from the actual game!)

Not saying it's happening, but if it did could be good.
Sly Copper, Blasto, Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Captin Quark, Sir Dan Fortesque, mini Patapan army, loco roco blobs, Sackboy, Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Helgast soldier, Cole, Nathan Drake, Nariko, new starhawk guy, and Jack Trenton as the boss. Kevin Butler and/or Steven Fri (?sp) as announcers/shit talkers.
Must have sophisticated level editor/maker aka Little Big Planet plus...
Verses paying a cable bill, internet bill, cost of traditional game system, etc. lol, your first mistake was responding without giving consideration to what is an obvious next step for these devices :-)
Imagine I-phone 5-6 (to provide more power and 5g network) being launched with an entire line of inexpensive video out devices with well designed/costomizable user interfaces.
Walk into the house, quick sinc phone with tv or monitor, and start playing games, surfing web, browsing through cable/netflix content, hooking up to any kind of service like steam, on-live, app stores, looking a pics n home movies from phone, social networks, shopping, etc- right on the big screen us...
Is it too late buy back ur site's Integrity?
No offense to the guy, (I loved Braid, it's F...ing brilliant!), but why is he being quoted about wanting/ needing the next gen of systems.
Braid is one of the most simple minimalist substance over style type games I had the pleasure of playing.
It's like someone who draws amazing sketches using only pencils saying he can't wait for the next version of photoshop. Who gives a shit.
Please keep making simple kick ass games ...

No ones done a game based on touch like this that I can remember. Do you see how the hand changes as it reacts to the different surfaces it contacts.
A game that combines the 1 to 1 of ps move with a really great procedural hand modeling/collision detection system (between the hand and environment, so you feel like you can reach in and touch the world).
It could lead to some really cool new kinds of experiences if done right.
Agree 100%. In my opinion Prime was hands down the best game of last gen.
The comment can also be interpeted that they thought they were watching the 360 verson and it turned out to be the ps3 version. Just saying
If publishers don't want to loose sales they need to be more clever in how they deal with new vs used at retail.
The one time use of and sale of online codes is OK for a start but also a bit punitive.
I personally think they should embrace something more positive that makes gamers feel rewarded for buying new not punished for buying used. Something like "new" codes, which allow you free access to the first half year of dlc/bonus content if ...
That has to be the funniest thing I've heard all week. You literally have to be out of you mind or between the ages of 10-18 to compare the two based on story.
Gears is a fun and very pretty game, but it has a shallow one dimensional throw away story which appears to have been written by and for pre-pubesant boys (even the angry one sided god of war dialog is better). I play gears inspite of the story, not for it.
Uncharted on the other hand, has a o...
Pitfall or Qbert on my neighbors Atari
I'd love a remove option that allows you directly remove any show or movie from your view forever (like a garbage can for all the crap stuff that I'll never ever watch)!
For the Wii U to be successful Nintendo depends on it's unique functionality and lack of direct competitors.
The fact that Sony can offer similar functionality as the Wii U this easily is really bad news for Nintendo.
Also, even though it's not out of the box like the Wii U and therefore less supported, it won't really matter. All Sony needs to do is throw it's money and weight around with a few developers so they support this type of fun...
A price drop this soon and big is not a good sign for the long term health of that platform.
Pretty simple really, it's called a $700 launch price!!! The dambed thing was so over priced for the market it's in! Even will all price drops we're still at $250 years later! They still haven't even reached the magical $200 mass market price, and will likely be under cut but their competion for the remainder of this generation.
It's all about the price! Everything else; like a later launch date than 360 or questionable/lack of marketing is a side note. ...
