Phil Spencer's comments may not have been about the 360 (though we dont really know the context), but the article was in fact discussing his comments in relation to the 360.
I think the sales will improve slightly, but I don't think the 360 will ever 'dominate' in Japan, it's too far behind and the Sony brand is too popular.
Yeah, these reviews are sounding great. Congrats to Bungie for making a game aimed squarely at the fans. I wished more developers would create games with the gamers in mind first and foremost; I think Naughty Dog and (it seems) Sucker Punch, definitely have the same frame of mind as Bungie.
If you care that much about NPD figures you ain't a real gamer.
I guess you don't have any idea on how many people chipped their 360's who could be considered by you as 'misinformed'. Not all adopters of piracy follow every detail on the development of hacking and piracy. I would be willing to bet many of the people who would have used the Jailbreak tools (in the next few months and even year), would now be unable because of updating the firmware.
Hypothetical example, I picked up a Ps3, turned it on, downloaded the firm...
yeah these graphics are really quite attractive, but not anything revolutionary. I'd definitely be giving this game a spin.
lmao, yeah I guess its a bit strange coming from a sociopath murderer and all-round wack job. Speaking from the Korova Milk Bar :P
lol, yeah I know. I still enjoy N4G because its just an easy portal to get all my gaming news, and sometimes the comments can be interesting/amusing/educationa l. But sometimes I gotta say something like this as a means of self therapy, to cleanse the crap taste out of my mouth after reading BS like a lot of these comments.
hmmm, not overly concerned. Hopefully these things will be sorted out by launch. But even then, in all the other videos (which is hours worth), nothing like it has been seen, so it would be an incredibly rare glitch. I don't think i've ever played a game 100% bug free, and I don't think GT5 will be an exception.
Jesus, this is just getting ridiculous. I've read the comments following both Halo Reach reviews and can only see a bunch of bickering school girls. Why can't people just admit that both consoles have good exclusives and that no amount of bitching and moaning is going to change that? PS3 fanboys, does Halo Reach affect the way you enjoy games? What does it matter if it turns out to be great? And Xbox fanboys, why bother gloating when we all know it's going to bite you in the ass ...
Who knows what's in these documents? Maybe there are hints on how to hack the PS3, maybe there's nothing of use, or there could even be a map to King Solomon's mines. Either way I think everyone needs to chill out till theres more information available. There is so much immaturity on here "boohoo the PS3 is not un-hackable", "boohoo, the xbox has Gaylo" "Boohoo the PC is god's gift to man". Lets just pull in the reins and see what happens before ...
I'm sorry but that totally smells of....

:)
You pretty much said what I was thinking. NFS and GT are two completely different games, and both look like they will be fun as hell. I'll probably be purchasing GT5 first just for the fact that I've been waiting so long already, and I cannot wait any longer :P
@Apocalypse Shadow
Dude, I would proof read your comments before posting them. Saves embarrassing yourself, and the PS3 community which you obviously champion.
hmmm, I still think this score is a little too low, but because of the general consensus amongst reviewers I just might give it a rent first. Better safe than sorry.
I agree that the musical score, especially the main theme, was exceptional in Burtons original. But I don't think it would have worked well with the later two movies, as they are two completely different thematic constructions. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's score for both TDK and BB were exceptional and fitted well with the types of movies Nolan was creating. The only thing it really lacked was a catchy theme, but I believe that was their intent.
Same goes f...
Yeah I totally remember that advert, it was incredibly weired. And similar to you, we used to mock a kid who had a big head in a similar fashion.
The David Lynch adverts were my favourites...the ones for PS2.

Well for me this isn't really a 'Sony' issue, but a concern for gaming in general. I felt the same when MS became a thieves wetdream. I would love to have seen how things turned out if MS didn't have these piracy problems. Would we have a greater number of titles? Better quality? etc etc. And yes, I do agree with you that if this thing blows up Sony will be having issues, its inevitable. Thats the sad outcome of piracy.
I can understand why people steal from others out of desperation, I can understand why people don't want to pay taxes, and I can understand why people don't care about the environment; doesn't make these things any more right does it?
Why should they? It's good for the economy to buy from one's own country. Americans buy American, Australians buy Australian etc etc. Of course they don't buy exclusively, but they do TRY and buy predominately from their own country. Look at how well the 360 does in its own country.
