Totally agree with Hiredhelp...do not diss the 80s action film. They were, and still are, good for what they did; cheesy oneliners, CGI-free explosions, baby oil, and hand to hand fights leading to the fighters smashing through a wall revealing a heavily bosomed lady nude on a bed (see Commando or Universal Soldier). The only problem with Duke Nukem is that they didn't use the character in an interesting way. I totally agree with the author of the review that a anachroistic approach woul...
Mass Effect 3 is coming out next year now. It's a bummer really.
I liked MW2 and BOps, so i'll look into this. However, BF3 is also coming out, along with U3 (and I was a U2 MP junkie), so it's gonna be a tough time on the wallet.
wow...do you feel better?
Actually, this story was written yesterday, before the announcement that the PSN was going back up. And it is actually a decent article.
This has allowed me to catch up on some good movies and television shows that I've been missing (such as Breaking Bad), so I'm not overly rushed to see PSN online. I'm just glad they're actually making sure they don't eff up . Plus i've been playing some good single player games like Yakuza 4 and Fallout, and looking forward to another SP game in LA Noire.
Oh, and its nice to get more time to socialise and get outdoors.
There are...
I love all the hyperbole in the article...its AMAZING!
did those who d/l'd the map pack get all the maps? I got only one and a theme.
Yup, i'm playing it at the moment with 32 players. Dunno what is up with this news?
I still dunno about this, the MP demo left me kind of disappointed. The sound and graphics left a lot to be desired. However, the gameplay wasn't too bad and the Nano suits are pretty cool. I would have preferred a SP demo to be honest.
It was never intended for it to fit Yakuza cannon. Just like Undead Nightmare wasn't part of official Red Dead Redemption cannon.
I disagree that the MP looks like COD. I mean, there are similarities for sure, but I think there are enough differences to make it stand apart. The battlepoints (i think they're called) alone make it different, 32 players, unique modes, large maps, a more exhaustive load out system and a few other tweaks really made it stand out to me. Aesthetically and superficially it resembles COD, but I do think it has enough to stand out.
Well, i've always been a sucker for eighties power ballads, and this is one of my favourites. Honestly though, I got a feeling that many of the people watching the trailer have no idea of the significance of this song in relation to the fall of the Berlin wall, and thus don't really get the joke or reference.
haha, couldn't have said it better than myself. Dane Cook is the scourge of the comedy world.
I have to agree with you there. And this is coming from someone who relishes offensive humour, for example I enjoy the more risque stand up comedians (such as early Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor), but this game just wasn't able to pull it off. I did enjoy it for the first few moments, but it quickly got boring and dry rather quickly. Like you said, it sounds like it came from someone who just learned to cuss and who was completely unfunny to begin with.
Totally agree with you there. It looks like they really improved the mechanics in the game and the Champions Mode looks like the icing on the cake.
I've finished the storyline twice now, I just love it. Saying that, it ain't for everyone as the story can be veeery melodramatic (in the usual Japanese way). And just as Kurochi said, there is so much in this game that you can spend hours playing around without even touching the storyline. But I really can't wait to get my mitts on this one...time to crush some faces :)
That there would have been an awesome idea...
I thought the interactive comic was good, better then having nothing at all. Still, it would have been great having ME1, but since that is never going to happen it was good of Bioware to do the comic. They could have just released it without it and maybe put a couple of vids in the game instead.
yep, i've already clocked in over 30 hours and it hasn't freezed on me once. I've had a couple minor issues, but I don't think i've played a game this gen that hasn't had a couple bugs. BTW, how the hell did this get approved? It ain't even an article OR news, it's just a link to forum postings.
I know right? So many people I've talked to believed that the "chew bubble gum" and "hail to the king" lines (and many others) began within the Nuke franchise. In fact, as you state, it was delivered by my main man Ash. The other by George Nada in the classic Carpenter movie, They Live.
