Yes with conditions.
I think I enjoyed Portal 2 co-op more in split-screen.
I'm sure the people who make them just can't contain their appreciation for fans like you.
Some people's opinions...
The best option is business as usual. The majority of both user bases is common. It doesn't matter how secure XBL is, or how secure Steam is. Our information is already out there. Ultimately, they should all be collaborating on keeping gaming safe and secure for everyone.
"In the next few years" is not "In a few years"
Uh no.
Currently pondering a new password scheme. Going to *try* and change my associated email (not sure you can). And remove my billing information.
I won't pretend I'm not butt-hurt over it. I also won't pretend to have been blissfully naive about the concept of safety on the internet.
Trusting your info to anyone is foolish.
Using the same passwords in different places is also foolish. Take some responsibility.
Yeah bull-f**king-shit.
That's an excuse, not a reason.
Piracy was at its worst before consoles and PCs were even comparable, at the beginning of the last generation of consoles.
Devs aren't "falling back on consoles". Consoles caught up to devs. There aren't many groups of people who have the technical, artistic and financial prowess to create a game that truly could not be realized on console.
Those who have claimed they can, have or would ha...
I may be utterly alone in this. In fact I'm fairly certain, in this market, I am. But I could not care less about the sound a gun makes in the context of a game like Mass Effect. I haven't a clue what a single gun sounds like in the previous games. It's completely incidental. And in fact, realism of such things is irrelevant in a futuristic context. Weapons are powered by the Mass Effect, not explosive combustion. It's more like an electromagnetic effect. It could reasonably b...
That seems to be the scenario. Seems ludicrous to me to decide to play catch up 6 years later.
They may have a two year 'head-start' but ostensibly will still be playing the same games available on 360 and PS3, with the obvious exception of first party content. So it's not much incentive to the consumer.
If it does 1080p at a solid frame rate as a baseline, they'll have my attention. My television likely isn't going to exceed that resoluti...
I don't need any such assurances.
Doing it with Twilight Princess ultimately reflected poorly on both the game and the platform. It should have been better. It should have been Skyward Sword.
While I would love an HD Zelda game, I want it built from the ground up to take advantage of whatever new hardware Nintendo is bringing to bear. That's what will motivate me to grab new hardware. Not a half-assed Wii port equivalent of a PS3 HD Collection. (Which notably sell for $40 and include 2-3 games)
No. Don't be silly.
Seems to me that developers are holding it back. PCs are there. And they're underutilized. Go ahead.. use them. Nothing is stopping you.
You tell us we have no intelligence and then you contradict your own argument?
EDIT: Since you're not going to explain your thesis, allow me to put this into perspective. You're absolutely right that most developers don't have the time, money or resources to fill 50+ gigs of physical media making a game.
That is an argument IN FAVOR of digital distribution. If games are wasting the space on physical media, why would they waste all the overhead ev...
I think that's a fair assessment, if overly simplified.
I think Blu-ray will be repeatedly expanded to support higher resolution video, 1440 and/or 1600, before becoming irrelevant in developed counties. It's likely to maintain relevance in developing markets for quite some time. Internet policy around the world is a bit shaky and is showing signs of regression. I'm not convinced a fully digital world is as close as many believe.
And I'm not ...
It's not bad for pre-release middleware. If the price is low enough, I could see it being a means for a reasonable quality bar right from the word go.
We already know UE3 is also going to support the device. That will help mid-sized to larger devs set an even better precedent early on.
If the cost of entry is similar to UE, then I'd have to agree with ya, it's underwhelming. At least with that art. But keep in mind we're still talking about a ...
