This guy is sure to get laid.
If AMD or nVidia put out a card for $300 that developers could use as a standard format for at least 4 years, it wouldn't be an issue.
Between CPUs, GPUs, Chipsets and Memory, having to develop for 100 different configurations, with 12 more popping during the development of any given high end game is kind of ridiculous. And any time you buy a new game on PC you have to wait for umteen driver updates before it delivers the promised quality and performance.
...
Sweet! My Le Sony stock is going to rise.
You'll find that new features from now on will be for PS+ members. Such as their auto-updates and cloud saving.
I'm still going to get it. I'm just waiting for the price to come down. EA always launches their games with an inflated price in Canada. It often causes my Amazon orders to be delayed (as it did this time, so I cancelled the order.)
When it hits 40 or 45 bucks I'll grab it. Doesn't look like it's going to take long at this rate.
They should just copy good games and use giant text. Then they can sell them to all the idiots with HD consoles on SDTVs, who complain about small text.
Coming this holiday: Mass Effect thWii - Huge Text Edition.
Because one online infrastructure does not fit all.
I never really liked Legend of Mana, despite loving everything else in the series. Including Dawn of Mana for PS2. The art style was really nice though. Maybe I'll give it another whirl on PSP. Its mission structure does seem better suited as a portable title.
If 3D is this gen's rumble pack, then next gen it's standard and the gen after that, we all get pissed off when someone omits it.
I for one never judge a product based on the beta. I also rarely join betas for products I'm really looking forward to.
I sign up for betas that interest me but that I remain mostly objective toward. It's a great way to try out new MMOs without committing to them. It's also where I get most of my shooter kicks, since it's usually smaller groups and little focus on progression. And you can just enjoy breaking the game without worry of repercussion.
It may have been released on the US store for public consumption. It's already on the store, so it doesn't need to wait for the update later today.
It's just a guess though.
In any event, go try it. It's really fun.
The man can tweet whatever the fuck he wants. Maybe shit blogs can stop lapping them up for any worthless scoop they can get their hands on.
We all have access to Dylan Jobe's Twitter feed. We don't need it regurgitated.
Ugh... Tablets ARE consoles!
This isn't game related at all.
I'm still waiting for my PS3 pre-order from Amazon. Hasn't even shipped yet. Supply may be an issue.
The JRPG was a contentious subject this generation but ultimately played no role whatsoever. So I have to disagree with the thesis.
Fantastic deal
It's just Uniracer with prettier graphics.
It's one thing to screw up a PS3 version of a multiplat game. We get it. There's reasons why it could happen. And if even one developer would acknowledge it and just say "Hey, we're having trouble on the PS3 version", the community would likely say "Hey, that's cool. Wanna hold it back a month or two? Probably for the best" Rocksteady did it on Batman and it was the right move.
Or.. you can do what Crytek did and trumpet to the world that y...
3D doesn't lend itself to a moving screen, no matter how you want to handle it. And the NGP is all about moving the screen.
