Holy crap!
Hmm, an examiner article. I bet this is already in my twitter feed...
Oh look! There it is: twitter.com/davidscottjaffe
It would be twice as expensive and half as fun.
I'm pretty sure he was working on something regarding PS3/NGP cross-compatibility. He was, however, preempted by the announcement of Monster Hunter HD, which offers PS3/PSP cross-compatibility.
I don't believe it was necessarily 'meaningless' as he put it though. The MH:HD requires the game be purchased twice, once for each system (or only whichever you preferred). Whereas NGP would allow a single game be purchased only once, digitally, and be used on either N...
Child of Eden is Q Entertainment, not Q Games.
QE is Tetsuya Mizuguchi and company. QG is Dylan Cuthbert and company.
I don't think another PJ sequel is in the cards. Cuthbert seems forthright that Shooter 2 was an exception based on ideas for the original that didn't fit in the time frame.
PixelJunk Lifelike is the next in the series and will be on display at E3. It is a Move title, but that's as much as I know about it.
The other 2 games, I don't know. Steel Diver may be at the 3DS booth, and would therefor be included in the "Three games on display at...
In sales, COD will squash BF3. I'm guessing 2:1 across all platforms.
For me, they cater to different aspects of my life.
My iPhone is always in my pocket ready to waste 5 or 10 minutes on the bus or in a waiting room. It's rare that it engages for more than 30 minutes and I usually would rather not waste the battery to do so.
My PSP (and soon NGP) is for extended absence from my console. If I leave for a weekend or more, my PSP always comes along. It doesn't fit in my pocket, but it fits in my bag.
iPh...
I don't like the idea of a permanently enabled camera on a home console. It's far too vulnerable to exploitation.
I do admittedly have a PS Eye, but it creeps me out to have it plugged in when not in use. Kinect is unsettling too, especially since it needs to remain plugged in and on for full functionality.
Who's watching? Probably nobody... but who knows for sure? Especially since the PSN hack.
You point out some striking parallels with religion.
I agree. Some games benefit from a bigger jukebox, particularly racing, fighting and shooting games. But most games really suffer when the music is removed. And it's a tragedy; So much amazing work unappreciated.
Every firmware update is an incendiary device, if the internet is to be believed. The word 'circumstantial' has no meaning online.
Pathetic actions from a group of pathetic people. If you don't want people to know how shitty your game is, don't publish it.
Or maybe don't make such a shitty game.
Nobody jumped to conclusions. The exploit was real. They JUST ADMITTED IT. Changing your password didn't matter. The exploit let someone circumvent your password, whether it was changed or not.
What you need to change is your associated email.
The PS Blog seems to have confirmed the exploit.
Who's spreading false information again?
Nothing has captured Square Enix's stagnation quite as well as following the development of FFXIV since its 'release'.
7 and a half months later and it's still wandering around blindfolded in the dark.
Long, expensive trip just to be turned away at the door.
Why are game devs, as individuals, somehow exempt from being able to participate in metacritic?
I haven't read the review, I don't read anything on metacritic, but good or bad, it's not gospel. It's not an EA or Bioware company policy. It's a dude's opinion. He's allowed to have one. He's allowed to share it. That's the point of the site.
I'm pretty sure the U2 beta went open before release. It was a few months after the closed beta offered from InFamous though.
I don't care. They'll never have any information from me worth hiding, again.
