Maybe the 1080p era (not area) will start in 5 years for you, but for me it will start next June (until then I'll have to make due with the 720p era).
I think xbox zune would be terrible, but xbox 1080 doesn't sound too bad. It keeps that 3 syllable thing going like 360 has, it's a higher number, and the it's a fairly awesome number. Question: where would they go after 1080? Another random question: when it gets up to playstation 12, do they just skip 13 like a lot of buil...
I can't believe people voted this lame. I couldn't stop laughing when I read it.
This is a pretty bad article. It's only four sentences long and one of those sentences is this one:
Michael Patcher, director of research for Los Angeles-based Wedbush Morgan Securities, said consumers said were considering buying games for their existing consoles rather than wait for the next generation system, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. said.
Grammatical errors in articles tend to indicate they lack credibility and "said consumers said were considering"...
I still think they could have found a better name than Zune.
These look like ps2 vids, but the game won't be that much different looking on a 360 or ps3. In all honesty, you don't really pay attention to the graphics when you play.
MART, wtf is your problem? I just tried to say that a loss leading strategy can turn a profit if a large enough fanbase is made, and that even if the company sells at a loss that it doesn't make the games any less fun. I don't understand what your point in disagreeing with me is.
1. See my points above on why I don't care.
2. The ps3 will see similar price reduction oppurtunities before too long. It's taken the 360 over a year to get smaller dies, and I just...
It's really cool that they made it so any 2.5'' disk can be used, but I wonder how that would work with the stuff that needs to be installed from the getgo like the Os and the web browser. Will that not matter or will information need to be transferred to the new drives before they can be used? Anyways, having a choice on what drive to use instead of having to pay a ridiculous amount for a proprietary drive is a good thing.
I don't really see the point of this gamingwise. So Microsoft has lost around 4.5 billion on the xbox. That won't make Halo 3 any less fun. Sony will lose money this time around because of the massive hardware expenses they're willing to incur, but the Playstation brand is strong enough to build up enough of a fanbase to make profits eventually this generation, and I think the same will go for the 360 eventually.
Bye Bye Bubbles.
Hey, MART, you're stealing my argument about how Nintendo's business model can't fail this generation.
Here's one that I might consider. Anyone remember Phantom, that giant spider from Devil May Cry? His death was awesome. Also, from that same game, Griffon's death.
Come on, did no one else find this funny?
I can tell from the title that this is just going to be flamebait. Everyone should just ignore it.
It won't be that painful of a wait. There are plenty of games coming out in the meantime. Nice find, MART. That walkthrough is awesome.
Yeah and what's up with guns? I've been tired of shooting things since I got bored with Doom. When are they going to release an FPS where you don't have to shoot at stuff?
And why do so many people think multiplayer is so special? They've had it since 1962. BORING.
And x-ray vision? Seeing through stuff? That is so old. It's not 1895, it's 2006. Show us Q-rays and things that don't suck.
And what's with all the trees? There are plenty of t...
I think this is the link DJ was thinking of:

In the article one of the guys says: "To make sure we run well over the internet with that many players, we have all spent a lot of time running with artificially high latency and packet loss so that we make sure our systems are designed to handle them without looking bad."
1. Who Was In My Room Last Night
2. Madhouse
3. You Really Got Me
4. John the Fisherman
5. War Pigs
6. Shout at the Devil
Not at all. I've never really played any musical instrument (never played one well, actually) and I played this game once in best buy and was hooked. This was one of my favorite ps2 games, and probably the one I played the most, and I actually got really good at it. Anyone who missed the original for ps2 or didn't have a ps2 should definitely check this out.
I got a feeling this game will be pretty big in Japan, not Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest big, but it'll be something. This past week the best selling game in Japan was a mediocre dragonball z ps2 gamer whose sales probably came more because of the love japanese fans have for toriyama's artwork than the actual game itself. Personally, I loved Chrono Trigger on my old SNES so I'm psyched for the stateside release of Blue Dragon.
I've heard that it pauses games and brings up the cross media bar so you can change settings and message people and stuff while the game is paused, and it is also supposed to sync the wireless controller up with the console.
