How are you people possibly spinning this as something negative? And what's with these people complaining about costs? All games are under $15, and a few of the announced ones are only $5 I think. That's an even lower number if you're going to be sharing the games like this says you can. God, do you people just make up negative things when there aren't any?
I wouldn't say that Gears has better graphics than Resistance. Resistance has better particle effects and draw distance, whilst Gears has much nicer character models. Many things go into "graphics" and Gears is definitely not the best at doing all of them.
The question is, how many people will wait the four or more months it would take for a pc version to come out? It was one thing for a game like Oblivion where the pc version was released on the same date, and with mods was superior imo. But the 360 version will be out well before the pc version, so this might be different.
Umm, actually shouldn't it be more expected in later games? Ted Price said that Insomniac thought it wasn't worth the extra time it would take to make it 1080p at this point because so few consumers have capable televisions. He also said that future Insomniac titles will be more focused on achieving 1080p. But, you know, we'll see as get further into the lifecycle. Oh, you forgot Ridge Racer 7 at 1080p 60 fps. I'm probably only going to get 3-4 games at launch, depending on the reviews and stuff. Right now I'm leaning towards Resistance, Madden, CoD3, and Rainbow 6. From what I've seen of CoD3 and R6 it looks like the 360 versions might end up being much better looking a lot better, and if the online is seriously lacking in either that's a deal breaker for me. So if the versions of either of those feel rushed, I'd probably wait to pick them up as 360 plat hits, or just wait for the next version ...
Yeah, all they really need to do is make the content you're purchasing more clear. Making it cheaper wouldn't hurt either.
Cool, I'm wondering whether I should buy the game when I pick up the system or wait until I demo it and then decide whether to buy it. Having demos downloadable from day one is a good sign too.

Compare Call of Duty on the wii to Call of Duty on the ps3 and 360. It's pretty obvious that the wii is not a graphics powerhouse, but that doesn't mean the games won't be extremely fun though.
I thought the problem was that they sold a "full version" for 1200 points, but then people found out it would take 1800 more points to get the other versions out there, making the full version, not so full afterall. Are they going to implement a refund system for people who felt shafted? And 3000 MS points is about how much Lumines 2 costs, and almost twice as expensive as the original Lumines for the psp, btw.
I hope it comes to 360 so more people can play it. It's already coming to pc, so it shouldn't be too hard to port it to the 360.
Is it native 1080p or upscaled to 1080p? If they could actually go and change the game to native 1080p in the short time since Microsoft announced 1080p support, then well, maybe 1080p is easier than we thought?
It seems like just a next gen Champions of Norrath. Nothing real new, but just a next gen version of those type of dungeon crawler games. People that were big fans of those games (my little brother) might pick this up, but I think I'll save $60 and get something a bit more interesting. Maybe if the reviews are good, I'll pick it up if it goes greatest hits.
It was actually available on the internet before you could see it at the event, kinda defeating the purpose. Anyways, it looks awesome. Does anyone know the timeframe it takes for a game to be a platinum hit? If it's nine months, then I'm all set because it'll be about 9 months from release until I have constant access to a 360 :(
We all knew 1080p was very hard to do. 720p was also harder to do than 480i, but it is now expected of developers on 360 and ps3 games. Will 1080p be expected in the next generation of game consoles?
The bottom line is that if developers are willing to invest the time and money, then 1080p is a good goal for them. For most games, especially this early, 720p will be perfect. But for games where developers want to give the extra time and effort to make 1080p happen, then how can ...
