IGN DOES NOT SAY THAT! MICROSOFT TOLD THAT TO IGN DURING E3 '05!

I'm so sick and tired of that horrible link. For example, do you even know where that 5 times the bandwidth figure comes from? Microsoft added bandwidth internal to the gpu to the system bandwidth and labeled that system bandwidth. By that same reasoning Sony could have added the 200+GB/sec of bandwidth internal on the Cell processer to their system bandwidth and said that they were superior.

The 360 has around 22GB/sec to share between the cpu and gpu. The ps3 has around 48GB/sec between the gpu and cpu.

I love the grass effects in this installment. Having the grass and stuff change as you walk over it is an awesome effect.

I never would have thought I'd pay $70 for a game, but after demoing Guitar Hero once, I was sold.

A multiplatform release would be nice. I'm glad that Kojima is open to the possibility.

You can't play the psone games on the ps3, only the psp, until they release a ps3 emulator program. They've indicated one is coming next year sometime, so don't download any psone games just yet if you don't have a psp.

The safest bet seems to be on pc, 360, and maybe a 50/50 chance of ps3.

I want to be the first to say that that is an awesome picture.

What I want to know is the expected release date. It could be in development but not get a bunch of work on it until after MGS4 releases. Hopefully we see it next year though, if it's in the works.

Yeah, if you asked Namco a year ago why you should buy Ridge Racer 6, they'd have told you they pushed the 360 to its limits. Every developer says that.

The ps3's gpu can also access a full 512MB, so let's stop with all this "ps3 only has 256MB" crap. And, no, Gears will not be as good as it gets for either system. This is only a second gen 360 game, and it will probably have sequels that overtake it, as well as Halo3 on the 360. The ps3 will have games like MGS4 and Final Fantasy XIII as its second gen titles, so we'll see how they stack up. This is only the tip of the iceberg for the seventh generation.

Does anyone else think that this game is less suited for a splitscreen type of multiplayer, and more suited for an online multiplayer? I won't know how well it works until I play it, but I just think that it might be too difficult to play one one fourth of a screen in standard ntsc resolution.

Isn't the FPS genre crowded enough this generation?

Sorry I went off there. I think you just misunderstood what I said. I don't think I made it clear enough in my first post that I meant only a select few of those games will probably get 90% and over.

Notice that I said IF they're the same or possibly better they COULD get 90%. FEAR got a 91 in that review that was posted here recently, so I'm saying IF the ps3 verision is as good as the 360 version reviewed, it could POSSIBLY get a 90%. I realize they had extra time on FNR3 and Oblivion, but I don't know if reviewers take into account stuff like that in their reviews. I just figured if they were as good as or slightly better than the 360 versions that both scored high previously, then ...

First off, GTHD is a prologue game, not an actual installment in the GT series. Secondly, the game, as reported by IGN, is probably going to cost $5-$10, meaning you could spend $50 before it reaches that $60 price point. You don't have to pay for demos either. The quote you're thinking of said something along the lines of "you can purchase games, and download trailers and demos." If the quote said that demos cost money then it would have said "you can purchase games, demos...

Let's hope we start to see some more bluray movies encoded in h.264 and a lot less encoded as mpeg2 by the time launch rolls around.

I really can't see another game besides Zelda, and maybe Madden, getting above 90% for the Wii. Of course, part of the reason for this is that I've never seen anything wiimotely (hahahaha, I'm hilarious) like the Wii in my life, so I guess a few games could surprise me.

As far as the ps3 goes, Resistance looks like it'll probably be up above 90%, and if Rainbow Six, Call of Duty 3, Elder Scrolls, Madden, Fight Night, or FEAR are as good as or slightly improved above the 360 v...

I wish Sony would go ahead and announce what they're plan for the Eyetoy is. People might say that the 360 didn't have a camera at launch, but I think Sony definitely should have because it was already an established brand, and they had plenty of time to make it.

I think Microsoft has done a good job with their Vision camera, so I think it's even more important for Sony to release their new eyetoy as soon as possible.

People who missed it on the pc one year ago should have fun. It was a pretty good game.
