Looks like they pushed back FEAR and Rainbow 6 from the launch. It's a good sign that Ubisoft and Vivendi aren't going to release the games on time with the 360 ones if they would just end up being inferior versions. Just wish I didn't have to wait for Rainbow 6 (I've been playing FEAR for a year now, Yay Pc Gaming).
I just wish they hadn't delayed Motorstorm. I was hoping to see that in December. Q1 '07 looks stacked though. Another big question: Will Killzone hit next y...
I hope you're joking, and you actually do know a little bit more about the system you criticize so much then that post seems to indicate.
It is an option because you can do it to reduce it to four seconds, or not do it and have 15 second load times. The fact that it works fine without doing it means it's an option.

clearly says: "Genji: Days of the Blade would install 4GB of game data to the hard disc, in a process lasting only three minutes and available as an option ...
You seem to have been following this closer than I have, so I have a few questions.
Will there be co-op multiplayer online? I know this has been something that's very difficult for developers to do, but it would be a nice added bonus if I could destroy the Covenant with my buddies online.
Do you know of any plans beyond this Halo game? I'm absolutely sure Microsoft wouldn't let this be the last Halo fps, but I don't know if Bungie's going to be doing the next o...

Keeping with the Kotaku links. This seems to be the exact same thing. You put some info on the hard drive to reduce load times to almost nothing. You can still play the game as usual without the install, but the load times will be three times as long.
Basically, if you get Ridge Racer 7 and you plan to play it al...
This doesn't take things away from the ps3 hard drive. You have the OPTION to do an install type thing for the games you are playing. The games still work fine without this install thing, it is purely optional to increase the speed of the load times. Personally, I'm probably only going to have this done for 3 or 4 games at a time. Once I'm done playing the game a lot, I delete the installed game. Even if they all take up 5GB installed, that still leaves 40GB open on the premium version. ...
This could be the start of an even new way for stores to charge you more money. Now that it seems like every game has a regular and a collectors edition, I guess it was only logical to introduce a more expensive legendary edition. What's next? Ultimate Mythical Edition?
And there's got to be no way Gamestop can guarantee a Christmas '07 release date. Bungie will release it when it's ready (hopefully as soon as possible) and I can't see them forcing themselves to meet any de...
All I care about is when is the next Eternal Darkness game coming out? I don't care about ps3 vs. 360 or Too Human, I want my Eternal Darkness!
I am getting so sick of the name Zune. Cool looking product, horrible name.

Are you this Edward Gamer guy or did you just copy and paste his post?
Google is a wonderful tool.
Oh and that IGN quote he uses as the basis for his analysis has been proven to be pretty biased and flawed. Sorry to have to inform you over a year after that article surfaced.
The game generations are typically defined by the amount of time developers have had with the final dev kits. That's why MGS4 and FFXIII won't be considered first gen games when they hit stores in late 2007 or in 2008. The fact that Prey was in development for like 6 years, doesn't make it any less a second gen game.
I really hope they fixed it up since Leipzig, but I don't think they would let it go now if it hadn't been fixed.
1. Have you ever considered the possibility that they may like different games, and that RR7 might be considered good by a bunch of people?
2. They know that they like drift racing more than fps.
3. How would this be a Sony marketing scheme? If Sony was pulling the strings here, wouldn't they get their first party games (RFOM and Genji) rated higher than a third party game.
This doesn't mean they have no plans to do this. If you asked Microsoft if there was any way to get a HD larger than 20GB, they would say "Not Currently." If you ask Microsoft if there is a way to get HDMI output for the 360, they would say "Not Currently." This probably means, "Not Currently, but in the future there will be."
I think the group doing this comparison is more concerned about applications of the cell processor that don't involve gaming, hence the lack of comparison to the xenos processor.
Sounds powerful, just wish I could understand what it says.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the WiiConnect24 thing runs in standby mode.
I think #6 has been the funniest joke so far. #18 and 19, don't take it so seriously. Anybody who's trying to use this video as a way to justify their hatred of the 360, or by some warped logic the ps3, should just be ignored anyway. It's a joke people.
I know gamestop is taking preorders for a controller adapter. Their website has it for five bucks. No official announcement from Sony though. Maybe a third party adapter?
