What happens if you have to sneeze?
Wow, I never realized how weird that words sounds. Sneeze.
It definitely deserves gadget of the year.
Wow, I could have sworn that photo was a clever photoshop. That is just...wow.
Hahahaha. They forgot graphics aren't everything. But hey, who expected this game to be any good? Seriously, we all knew it was only gonna appeal to the mindless hack-and-slashers.
Other possible duds: Gundam looked weak in that Gamespot video, although I've read that they didn't know how to play it really. NBA 07 looks like it has shallow gameplay hidden by some nice graphics. And I guess Untold Legends could suffer the Genji fate: decent visuals but unimpressive gameplay. ...
I was kinda hoping for a Christmas 07 release, ideally at the same time as MGS4. Oh well. Anybody know when White Knight Story is releasing? I'm more excited for that than any other next gen rpg. Sorry Blue Dragon, you're a close second.
I'm really glad that I got someone who actually read the link, which just goes to show that not everyone who you might disagree with (I think I personally prefer the ps3 more than you would) is unreasonable. So in the words of Ali G, Respect yo.
As for your question, I'm not exactly a very knowledgeable tech person either. The main thing I think about having the RAM split is making sure that there is enough bandwidth to make up for that. The 360 has about 22.4GB/s of bandwidth f...
If you're still quoting that one and a half year old Microsoft document, that has been repeatedly shown to be false and biased btw, then there's no point in arguing with you. I will say that the ps3 DOES have access to all 512MB of memory, and that the Epic quote about the impossibility of 256MB is not a ps3 reference, but a reference to the 360 before Microsoft changed the specs at Epic's request. That'll be the extent of the arguments I'll make against you, because, frankly, I seriously d...
From what I've seen of Motorstorm, the game is about balancing speed with control so you don't fly off the cliffs or off the track, and it is about using the boosts in a strategic way. Saying it's a hold down the button and drive in a straight line type of game is like saying that Forza or Gran Turismo are like that too, when the truth is that all of these games require skill and good judgement. Anyways, it doesn't really matter as only Japan will get the game before Christmas apparently.
In all fairness, 1080p support was announced very late in nba 2k7's development.
I don't know about Game of the Year, but it's definitely up there as a finalist.
I'm more upset than I thought I would be that I won't get to play this extensively until next September, but at least I've got FFXII, Zelda, Guitar Hero 2, and Resistance (I've loved all of Insomniac's games, I'd rather have R&C5, but this will hold me over) to play this holiday. Gears, would have made it perfect though, but I can't really complain.
1 million seems a bit low, but it's closer to my prediction than theMART's prediction. I can remember that 9 post argument we had over how much Gears would sell. If I remember correctly I said about 2 million to reach 20% of the install base, and MART said his estimate of 5 million, to reach 50%, was a very conservative estimate. You can bet I'm gonna go back and find that post to rub it in some faces if I turn out to be right. Unfortunately, I don't think theMART will care, as he'll be w...
The 360 can do native 1080p for games, it just hasn't done it yet because there are no native 1080p 360 games out. All it does right now is upscale games to 1080p, which isn't native. The ps3 will still technically be the first system to do native 1080p. Not really a lie, just a mistake.
Actually I'm only 21, I just love to turn on the shop at home channels and watch infomercial marathons when I'm bored. It's better than most of the stuff on tv. I couldn't really care less about his inventions, I just love the way he gets so excited about his crap, and gets the audience involved, plus there's always some stupid cohost that is impressed by anything. SET IT AND FORGET IT! Classic.
Anywyas, I gotta repeat my earlier comment, and say that your post was 100% dea...
Couldn't agree with you more, except on that Ron Popeil part. They're some of the best infomercials on the market. You're dead on when you say that the system hasn't failed though. It's way too early to say something like that.
But yeah, MS, and eventually Sony, will both need to take some measures to ensure that the system isn't abused. It would probably be better if they simultaneously imposed limits on the content that companies that ea can charge for, that way they don't ha...
You could just link directly to metacritic or gamerankings.
Like 8 years ago, rumble was a "gimmick." Eventually it became an industry standard (except on ps3 for the moment). If Nintendo and Sony pull off rumble, then it will become an industry standard. It's obviously best suited for games like Warhawk, or Lair, but Tony Hawk seems to be doing a good job integrating it, esecially for a launch title. Keep watching how it's used over the next year or so to get a better grip on whether motion sensing controllers will become a standard for...
For some reason this doesn't really surprise me.
Actually it's $100 more, as the core 360 cannot use this feature, whereas the core ps3 can.
I do agree with you on the HDD though. I think a bigger one is coming pretty soon.
This is obviously great news, but you guys really don't need to try and turn this into a way to bash Sony. They do own like a fifth of the movie industry and a fourth of the music industry. Expect them to try to do something very similar.
Gamespot seems to believe the content deals aren't exclusive, and I sure hope that's the case. I'd love to have some high def Robot Chicken action on the ps3 sometime. Anyways, for everyone who'll be able to enjoy this on the 22nd, Congrat...
Atari's never been that smart when it comes to the console business.
Compare the Jaguar to the original Playstation to see my point. All the systems Atari made were pretty terrible.
