If Id is just complaining to get MS to budge on the extra fees for the discs, then MS has to budge for everyone. They can't play favorites here.
What is the reason the cost goes up per disc anyway? I don't understand the economics behind that. You can only play one at a time, so why do you get charged per disc by MS?
I find it hard in games to make a morality choice based on ideals or whatever makes you decide to be good or bad personally. What I'm always thinking is how is the game going to react to my decision. If I'm bad does it punish me? If I'm good does it open up new areas or quests to me?
I don't know if games are advanced enough to let you free yourself from thinking about the underlying mechanics of how your decisions affect the game itself and not just your own personal char...

Obviously, the creation tools and capablities you have will make or break this game. The tools have to be easy enough for people to quickly make something that will surprise them, but deep enough so that once that novely wears off, you can dig in and create something really neat. I've already had my paycheck direct deposited into Best Buy's account starting this month. If there is any leftover, I might get some food and maybe pay to keep the lights on (have to power the TV).
It's good to know cable companies are capping our download capacity and throttling our bandwidth as games start moving more and more towards digital distribution. At least they are forward thinking.

I went through the demo 3 times and each time I liked the game that much more. The first time I was a clumsy oaf and didn't feel like I was kicking much butt, but after the 3rd time I was getting into some neat combos, zapping boxes with lighting and throwing little lightning bombs and flinging the saber and whatnot.

I haven't played it so I can't judge, but XPlay has had added a "Will Wright Minute" segment to their show which pretty much assures you they will rate this game high.
There are some games your mind is made up on. Either you will get it or you won't for whatever reason and reviews aren't going to matter. Sometimes it will convince me to rent before a buy if the reviews are tepid.
Then there are reviews of games that are off your radar or wind up being sleeper hits. This is where reviews are important. You can't possibly buy or even rent every game and you need some kind of filter. Reviews are great to steer you into or away from these ty...
I think you are totally missing the sarcasm in what he is saying.
He is saying he is basically painted into a corner because no matter what he says or does people are going to have their minds made up about him.
If they don't agree with his review, they will just call him unqualified. If he gives a good review, they will just say he is on the devs payroll. If they ask him directly and don't like his answer he must just be lying.

I think the list is pretty solid. I've had the same feeling about M. Edge. I really want it to succeed because it is a new concept and that will only encourage more publishers to take chances, but I'm trying to figure out what you do in it that keeps it from stagnating after the first hour.

I did like the fact Gates used his old mug shot on his Shoe Circus ID. That was a nice touch.
The beginning of the big Fall push is starting to roll in and at this point the heavier hitting games aren't producing very good scores. I hope this trend changes soon.
