I found that video to be pretty interesting actually although I have one criticism that comes from a personal gripe of mine and that's that the internet is a multinational place and when I use verbage to describe someone I try to be as inclusive as possible as to not accidentally make people feel left out. Yeah I agree with what your saying. Like I said in my original post we would only ever know if something in a game was racist is if we knew the developers intent with the game. If the devs intent was racist then its racist if not it isn't.
People will find racism everywhere if they look hard enough and if they are so insistant on believing they are percieved by anyone as less because of their race based on the race of the person accused of racisms race then that is racism...
Personally I am visually white, my father is black and my mother is white. I say this so my comments are not interpreted as racist as I don't want to offend anyone.
Creating a videogame world thay may not be earth with no black people on it is not racist, black people may not exist their. If everyone were blue no one would bat an eye as that's just the color of that worlds people and its just not as varied as our world in that respect

Yeah the snes/ps1 days were really the golden age of the jrpg. Just something about them made you so invested in the characters and the story aside from the odd tales game here and there I don't get that anymore. I hope companies in the industry go back to grabbing us by our hearts and minds but I guess we will have to wait and see. I think if it comes from anywhere it will be indies who care less about high budget affairs and more about core gameplay.

Batsu would make sense since sf already has sakura from rival schools so the universes already co exist story wise. It would be hard to fit many of the other characters in the game in a "believable" way
Until recently internet gaming has been a mainly pc thing, the internet has been what has separated the console and pc gaming experiences. I have always seens consoles as a less social place to game and I believe they should stay that way until the internet is much more prevalent in the world (not just the US).

I cant imagine a company that doesn't already have a pc that has the benefits that xbox are touting. Yes short term xbox may be cheaper but factor in the cost of xbox live and in time the pc would be cheaper.
My point isn't that xbox suck its that any sales person who is seriously trying to sell the xbox as buisness savvy clearly believes the buisness class to be simple enough to buy features they probebly already have and for cheaper!

This will be up to developer utilization of the device in games to decide. If devs can coax gamers into wanting to use this instead of/in conjunction with a controller to the degree that its marketable then yes its genius. Likely not though otherwise we would have seen it on kinect one last gen :/

For the low low price of only $500 you can buy this "gamebox" as a pc alternative!!! Not only is less versatile and less portable (try using it on the bus!) Than many laptops but it also does tv! (In places hooked up to cable at least). Good deal... good deal
Well I guess any console that can play games then its a successful console as I'd does what its designed to techically. I would say that from a business point of view it fails when at the end of ots cycle it has not turned a profit or at least made its money back.
From a personal point of view it fails when it doesnt deliver on the promises the company makes the gaming comminity on the consoles behalf.
I agree with you, dragon quarter works moderately as a game but not so much as an addition to the series. I found bof 3's music to be the highlight of the series I still get it in my head sometimes to this day.
