@Maloveki
You agree that devices like these have potential but then say people getting excited about it makes no sence to you? Paint me confused by that...
I agree that we have no way of knowing what developers will do and could just end up throwing shovelware at us just like what happened with the wii and kinect... or it could revolutionize gaming. I find the unknown exciting and the possibilities make me giddy with excitement.
If you can...
If this happens it will justify a next gen purchase to me
Still relevant
Assuming kinect works as well as microsoft say is does and assuming that game developers implement the kinect in new and exciting ways I still have no interest in using it.
If a product that I want to use is selling at a much higher l price because it is being sold together with something I am not at all interested in it is a perception problem.
I now have the perception that microsoft feel I should folk over more money for a console I want to buy just so tha...
This suggests that microsoft want to stay a hardware company, this squashes all the spinning or selling xbox off rumours for now at least
Game wise I don't think they are out of step at all, indies are riding high on games that are made to play like games back on the snes so its clear people still crave the formula that nintendo have based many of there games on. If nintendo's issue was a software issue for them then the ds and 3ds would not have sold so much.
However hardware wise meaning the wiiu specifically I think they made the same mistake xbox one seems to be making but shipping there console wit...
I'm sure that the system is powerful enough to run the game top notch on its own, I'm with you this doesn't sound right.... optemizing I can see, removing things outright not so much
You are assuming all gamers want that higher fidelity. Sure its nice to have but I will take content and story over a graphically impressive game any day of the week.
I believe this is why there is a rise in indie development popularity right now. Its nice to have games that are visually stunning but some gamers still crave that old 16 bit experience and now we can have it in indie games, just much more polished. Unfortunately some of them to have awkward pay structures but n...
If the artist uses a payment system many people don't like and won't use then they will make less money than if that had stuck with tradition... its a gamble for them and people have the right to say something is to expensive or inappropriate for them (in regard to the payment method) we are the consumer not the consumed
I only provided information, I didn't give me opinion either way. Lord only knows why you feel the need to attack me craig667
It comes in two 'seasons' the whole lot is $80 with the original ki and possibly ki gold along with 2 seperate character packs. Maybe even more down the road who knows...

Also digital music is so much more versitile, outside of itunes I can pretty much transfer digital music to most devices anywhere I wanna go... including a friends house to play
Can't wait to fly that golden condor
If I want to socialize with people thats exactly what I will do, go to their house, have a few drinks and play some games or watch a movie, I have no intention of playing with other people when I play games at home. Playing at home if for my 'me' time, its time to enjoy being alone and relaxing.
I don't need a gamerscore or trophies or achievements to feel good about myself or to validate me as a gamer, I'm invested enough already so I honeslty could not care ...
Pokemon jumps to 3d finallry!!!, ships with 2d ironically enough...
@darkride
I agree with you in that spinning xbox off sounds logical and likely and also that it means that they will be cut off from freely using Microsoft's vast resources. That being said the share holders of xbox will be the same share holders as microsoft and unless they sell out may vote xbox extra funds from microsoft to protect their financial investment potential so access to funds may still exist just not as easily.
That is a lot of what if'...
Actually I think many of the investers at Microsoft just want to stick to software sales. If they sell there own hardware bundled with sofrwate at less of a profit than software sales make alone then they would feel bogged down by the although profitable hardware devision.
I think this is the discussion coming up at microsoft and if they decide to become a more software based company then who knows what will happen

Basically it would make xbox its own company but it would still be owned by the same shareholders as microsoft giving the sharegolders more flexibility in that they can sell or buy xbox stock seperately from microsoft stock.
If xbox tanks microsoft could pull out and loose less money than if the devision stayed home and if xbox does well the shareho...
While I understand there are people who want the console for its tv and other features there are many who only want to use it to play games. Justify the kinect 2 as a new, fun wau to play games and you will sell more consoles.
Stick with saying that it helps with menu navigation and voice controls and your not selling xbox one to your core demographic
@malokevi
My original comment was one of excitement which you then went to say you didn't understand, I didn't put words in your mouth at all.
I took your points into consideration thats why I mentioned that it could flop if devs didn't support it correctly (much like kinect and move which is a comparison you made by speaking about motion controls)
There is nothing to put on a pedestal just yet there are those of us who are excite...
