Until we hear an official statement from sony I'm not going to believe much of anything from any "anonymous developers"
Twitter doesn't encompass the whole of social media, you can't talk about the power social media holds over the gaming industry and focus mostly on twitter.
Also the article assumes that it was social media feedback that influenced Microsoft's policies and not the way the market was looking in the pre order sales at the time. No matter who says what we will never know what influenced microsoft to reverse its policies but I'm sure it was a fiscally based move. ...
Yeah if it was at the start I'd have bought one much sooner
Actually its up to the consumer where the industry goes not the companies who make systems and games. I think EA with their online pass and microsoft with their old drm policies learned that them trying to force consumers in a direction they arnt comfortable with both learned that the free market speaks volumes and boy did it roar a few months ago.
Its undeniable that digital is a part of video gamings future as its terribly conveniant but do I see an all digital future any t...
That's not true of everyone, I personally loathe online play and so will never have to buy ps+ but will still get to enjoy the other online features and only pay their flat fee, not an extra fee microsoft would force me to pay to ise those features even though I don't play online
If what microsoft say about the cloud is true and it can help with processing power and graphics in a game then I can't even play single player games at their best without hitting the gold paywall. Sucks for those without internet, xbox one will feel so 2nd rate for them as it sounds like without the internet you don't even get to enjoy games as they were meant to be.
That's almost true. It opens up wide after a while and closes up again. The wide open part is rarher brief in terms of the story with lots of back and forth missions to make It feel huge
Yeah I get the feeling this article is taking aim at how much call of duty makes and how other game devs might adopt a similar formula in an effort to make as much money there by ruining gaming for people who hate it. I can see how this fear would drive someome to try and cause outrage to prevent it but I think that fear is mostly baseless.
This was exactly my problem with ffxiii, "on the rails" is a fantastic way to describe the resteictive way some games are being made these days.
You would think with the success of bathesda open world games and sandbox games like gta other developers who used to make expansive worlds (I'm looking at you square) would realize that's what gamers want to spend money on and play.
I am going to have to say that there are quite a few games that ha...
So the moogles in final fantasy games should act more like "real life" moogles?
This story popping up is fitting as me and my son just finnished mario 3 today. God I always loved giant world
As I've said before how is a game that contains a mini game I which you have to tap a button to control kratos as he sexually pleasures a woman (or two) to climax not sexualizing kratos?
Funny, those are 5 reasons I love jrpg's. Especially the 50+ hour stories
@remember
Yes kratos being naked is a show of strength and power which also ties into virility, lets not forget the mini game in god of war where you have to pump women to climax.... because its manly!!!! And no I'm in not way saying thats a good steriotype
Yeah I got that and its not a good sign at least not in my mind
There is more to a characters sex appeal than his digital package, all of te characters you point out are dressed properly to be sure but none of them are overweight or particularly unatracrive. Men in video games are portrayed with a muscular physique and very macho personalities.
Lets take kratos from god of war as an example the man wears next to nothing and is stoic as hell he personifies mascalinety to the point of being the nth degree of male steriotype and if you think...
Wow I wasn't expecting this so soon if at all... I've loved nintendo since I was 4 so thats a good 26 years. I hope they figure something out soon
Yeah how dare we put our idea of a fantasy woman in a medium that is made to explore said fantasy.... pardon us!
I did, I especially liked that the wife of the author (assuming its not you) realized that the game in of ir self wasn't overtly sexualized and that it was just the art style.
I only made that original comment because of the original offense of the art style people only seem to be offended at the objectification of womem and not men, in the past battle for sexual equality it seems people really lost focus.
The peoblem is the objectification of any gender...
@dendenmooshi
If it is a media box, depending how it is priced it could be a huge problem for microsoft
