That's something I'm behind 110%, its just a shame that there are many people who don't care enough about their rights to stand up against what microsoft tried to do and how other devs are trying to continue it.
Whenever we try and educate them we get called trolls or fanboys when really all were doing is trying to protect the hobby
I think matrick or whayever his name was came from EA. EA and microsoft have swapped quite a few employees.
But they didn't pressure microsoft into there always online policies.... or so they say
Whichever one has chu chu rocket... wise words indeed
I get the feeling thay regardless of whether the cloud can produce the results it says it can or not it has one important feature for microsoft.
With them saying it benefits single player gaming experiences it will push those gamers who play offline to pay for gold. I think they sre counting on recouping revenue there. If you always play a game online and arr told it looks so good because its online how are you to know you were duped?
Good point joecanada I t...
At least sony seems realistic with their approach to the cloud. Is spending millions on something thay may only minimally enhance gameplay worth it? If you can have greater improvements by spending that money on hardware why wouldn't you?
Sony want every gamer to have an equally fantastic time playing games, I'm glad they are worrying about gamers who don't have the internet.
If microsofts vision for the cloud is successful then only those with h...
@pivotplease
I heard on a podcast the other day (can't remember where sorry) that the "first wave" will release with 8 chars for $20 and something about a bundle with the original ki. Then sometime later the "second wave" will release a further 8 characters for $20 and something about an un named bundle that would probebly be ki gold.
So it could be anywhere from $40 up depending on bundle prices and any other micro transactions that g...

I actually dont want xbox to fail, competition is a good thing and if they die off then I doubt anything will fill that void for a long while.
That being said denying the possibility might be a little premature, with all the shake ups and resignations over a microsoft lord only knows what's going to happen. Honestly I've been shocked at almost every turn thus far.
In regards to this whole console war buisness I think I'm go...
Then they release the 2nd character pack of another 8 along with possibly ki gold some time down the line
If it wasn't free to play and was released with all characters up front it would be worth it. Playing a game for a while and getting bored of it only for me not to care about the 2nd half being released later sounds like a terrible sales model
That's why the stock jumped 8 when ballmer announced he was leaving. It seems the reshuffle at microsoft didn't save his hide after all.
I'm wondering what this means for xbox one. I hear there is a very vocal element in the company wanting to sell them and while it may only be small they may gather momentum during whatever paradigm shift will take place in a year when ballmer actually leaves.
It makes you wonder how good an investment xbox one i...
But why didn't it have 3rd party support? Im possitive if public opinion supported dreamcast then 3rd party support would have followed. My point is that its public opinion thay carries a console, supporting games will follow.
There is a lot of negative people angry at the xbox right now, if they don't sell nearly as well as ps4 3rd party support may very well go away.
How good a console is doesn't mean it will sell. Just like the dreamcast
The magiteck armour and limit breaks sound cool
So was the dreamcast
I agree that there will be a ton of shovelware but I'm not convinced families thinking of buying the console to play kinect together will fall for the motion control gimick again, they got burned with the amount of shovelware on the wii already and hopefully they learned from that.
I don't want the industry to think shovelware is ok again
I loved trapdoor as a kid, fun article
Just 10 mins huh... excuse me I'm off to talk to the bank ;)
Nintendo have always tried to innovate between gen's. Snes had shoulder buttons and more cartridge saves, n64 had 3d games and a controller to exploit them, gamecube finally went to tiny disk format, the wii was all about motion control and the wii u... well errr its the wii u.
For nintendo I feel what makes a next gen is how playing games evolves for the player, the innovation between player and game and experimenting with new ways for them to interact. Of course there h...
Just being more powerful doesnt make next gen thats for sure
