There could be a jump creatively that would require such a massive amount of ram... imagine using a VR headset and being able to dodge a spear or something with your own body movements, no "hit zones" or anything like if it misses you by millimeters it doesn't hit at all.... calculations like that would take a massive amount of ram unlike how its done now by if you shoot in the general area of the head its a headshot.
This may signal way more realistic physics i...
Yeah the vita tv completely blows me away conceptually, if cable companies could see that by supporting a device like this instead of a cable box, with a la carte cable channels via the internet they would streamline their service, stop supporting channels that are less watched and save money on the laying down of cables to homes.
Sony could kill with this thing.... and it does gaming!!!
With the way games are developed right now I completely agree. I hope this much room will mean they will be a jump in what devs will be doing, space like this would be great fkr trully interactive VR worlds... who knows what the future holds?
Sorry I was thinking of granstream saga. With so many awesome rpgs on the ps1 its easy to get confused (for me at least lol). I hope the ps4 has the same level of rpg's with great stories!!!
Is that the one where the character models had no faces? If so then yes it was a brilliant game, spent weeks on that thing
Indies and smaller studios have the ability to make fantastic games without needing a massive number of sales to profit. just look at square and tomb raider, it was a failure ti them because they didn't make as much money to offset cost but it still sold prrtty well. If indies can stay small and efficient then they will absolutely be the future of gaming.
I have an allergy to fur and when I pet stuffed animals after a while the fur comes out!!! This is absolutely a game changer!!!
They said as much in their mission statement a while ago
Its my understanding that *free* game downloads on ps+ require plus to continue working you pay for the service but if for whayever reason you can't afford to maintain ps+ OR loose access online those games become inactive. Its also my understanding that microsofts all digital vision would have worked similarly even with games you paid full retail for meaning that I wouldn't only need the disposable income to afford games but also to pay for the internet and both of these systems pers...
If an artist draws his fantasy of a beautiful woman many people will respect his or her freedom as an artist to esxpress their rendition of that.
If a video game developer creates a fantasy world, vividly, full of imagination and culture they get praise.
If that devs fantasy involves a scantily clad female, people go outrage nuts... it does not make sense to me...
Listen really at the end of the day who is really exploited? Is it the women wh...
I see benefits there too just not for me. The only limitation I want on my games is the initial purchase price and the electricity I need to run the system. Required internet or pay to play schemes are just not for me, neither is digital.
Gaming has a lot of people who have gamed for the past 30 years and for the industry to decide they want a digital gaming service style medium and call it innovative where its just money hungry ir wrong in my opinion. Its the consumer who de...
Gaming as a service, thats the problem in Microsofts plan. I dont want gaming to be a service.
I know on my ps3 updates come on the disc with newer games (system updates I mean).
Honestly I go back and forth in my mind about xbox one, the ad would imply the console may force you to update before allowing you to play newer games as it flat out says you won't need internet except to update the system day one and to update to play newer games.
If the system needs the internet to function, even if its only every now and then just to play current games...
Its just something I find a little odd...
Serious question though. I noticed the little * text at the bottom in regard to not needing the internet to play it said something along the lines of and I'm paraphrasing here "except for initial set up for console use and to download latest software for newer games" does that mean I can't play newer games if I have no internet even if I somehow find a way to download the initial first day patch?
I know but they are advertising it as if they are *features*. If its the norm and has mostly been for quite some time it goes without saying.
Can't the competition do all of these things to? Well except for maybe number 5
Things like this and pandora would be great if I have a monotone emotional palate... if I always wanted a similar movie or tv show experiance it would be awesome but I don't. I often want different, unique and surprising enterntainment.
That said I can honestly see how things like this appeal to people and its a good move, I hope the xbox's competitors have something similar in mind.
So not real money then? Just money you can spend at the microsoft store...
Forbes seem really big on microsoft... I really don't get how supporting 8 controllers adds anything to most gamers
Execs being quiet and letting the games and services speak for themselves has really helped MS gain some momentum, I'm no xbox fan by any means but I can look at this objectively. The more they speak the more the arrogence they exude and it isn't attractive. This comment is reflective on the past couple of weeks and not just what was said above.
If Microsoft came accross as appologetic to the environment created for indies in the past then maybe the execs would garner...
