Every company works for profit but when a company goes out of their way to maximize advertising revenue by pushing an always online agenda and a camera that they stated has potential to make sure advertisements reach customers that respond to their adverts it becomes a level of greedy that many are uncomfortable with.

I agree completely, the xbox team has be touting kinect as part of the xbox one until very recently. Clearly this decision was not made by people who had such strong faith in their product.
This must have come from investors nervous about not getting a return on the investment made on the xbox one, their must be a lot of chatter among shareholders at Redmond and not the good kind.
The part I find funny is that it's not the women who are exploited in these situations.
The women in these pictures likely get paid to do them, if there wasn't something in it for them they wouldn't do it, the men who ogle them however are exploited because their desire and lust full nature is being used to make money by these women and the websites they are connected to.

A casual gamer and a hard core gamer is not defined by how much someone plays games it is defined by the kind of games the gamer plays.
A casual game is a game that you can just pick up and play and have fun with a minimal investment of time, something simple that you can play for say 5 minutes and have fun, mostly skill based games that are fun, brief and don't require much thinking, like angry birds or wii sports.

Any xbox fan? Not a single one? That's a bold claim to make, I think to assume everyone who speaks out about something they dislike about xbox one is a little bit of dangerous thinking in an "us" vs "them" kind of way. It's to soon to say right now. I am going to reserve my prediction until after the first month of the kinectless xbox one sales come in. Everyone who has been waiting for this to happen will pounce around then and if it still can't outsell the ps4 then xbox is in some hot water indeed.

I am in 2 minds over this,
On the one hand this is what many gamers have been waiting for and it will likely be great for sales of the console.
On the other hand since microsoft were so adamant about kinect stating put and the other 360's it makes me wonder what else they could change that they swore up and down they never would.

The article shows leaked microsoft documents where microsoft themselves show they didn't have a AXA gaming machine focus and powerful hardware was second to media features.
So now we have a machine that was designed for gaming first vs a media machine designed for gaming second that has shifted from its media focus in direct competition for the gaming market.
