There was internet stuff for the snes in japan. I believe there was online levels available for the legend of Zenda a link to the past.
Yeah I had not played many indies until recently and I picked up papo & yo.
Amazing game, got me right in the feels. Better than any AAA I have played in a long while
I agree, EA are not going to want to put their newer games and games that are still selling on this service in an effort to not to loose those sales to their own service. This means it will likely be games that I can get from gamestop for a couple of dollars in the bargain bin.
It sounds like a good idea until you really think about it, if people have to pay for xbox live and then have to pay EA extra for this service because they don't understand that buying these 4 game...
If this card has many good game related bonuses I can see how it would be valuable to a video game lover. It does have to compete with chase freedom and the capital one quicksilver cards and if it can't those who are accustomed to using cards to farm points and pay it off each and every month will have no use for it at all.
I agree. I have been really wanting to make the leap to "next gen" but the more online centric the games become the more of a turn off it is for me.
With a massive backlog of ps3 titles and a backlog of ps1 & 2 titles on psn the next gen consoles are really going to have to appeal to me to get me to make the leap and rewarding multiplayer over single player is not the way to go.
I agree, game remasters do seem kinda lazy and cash grabby but I see some value in older games being redone like halo, even if your comment only accidentally knocks halo by criticizing TLOU it still needs to be said.
You are right, why would you and your friends get together and interact in person having a laugh and a joke and a fantastic night together when you can sit at home alone speaking over a headset completely lacking in the fun human interaction aspect of multiplayer video games....
It's because the focus has become so internet centric. There is more money to be had by people owning multiple copies of a game playing online vs people playing one copy of a game together in a living room.
It's sad.... Some of my best gaming memories was with friends on mario cart and even sari ware smooth moves
The only way the last of us and halo remakes will shift a significant amount of systems is because it will be the new consoles showing what their in house exclusive game producers show off the graphics and capabilities of their respective machines.
Frankly I see the last of us being more impressive in that regard but who knows? We might get surprised.
I can see halo shifting more xbox ones but that would be a new halo.
A collection of old halo games that can be bought for less money on old consoles and that most halo fans already own won't in my mind.
Yea that philosophy goes for ps remakes to but they are not quite so reliant on them to shift units.
I agree with this, I mostly play old ps2/ps1/indie games from psn. Newer AAA games just turn me off these days with the internet/multiplayer focus and microtransactions...
If the AAA marker goes belly up because of the cost of development not being matched by income from sales then indies will drive the industry
I believe the sun is a Rupert Murdock property, the same guy who owns fox news. That's why they both spew the same kind of hate filled ridiculous nonsense about all manner of issues including video games.
I just started my first play through of persona 3 fes on ps3 and it's pretty fantastic. Looking forward to picking up persona 4 when I am done.
If only modern games were made that I could enjoy half this much, I might be tempted to go "next gen"
Oh please, yes a lot of people hated the idea of the gaming industry treating games more like a service than a person's property and rightly so but people are also entitled to be upset by gamestops deplorable business practices also.
They are very few and far between but smaller game outlets exist and other alternatives to like amazon and ebay. The backlash against the "all digital" future had NOTHING to do with gamestop...
No one, from what I can tell not even the staff. Unfortunately though the old independent game stores died out and I have to use gamestop to fill my second hand needs.
If older digital releases could match in price then it would be ok, since ps4 came out ps3 games have been massive cheap at gamestop. I don't think I could get any games as cheaply on the playstation network.
The truth is that microsofts cloud is for more than just gaming.
On commercials it's advertised as I way to save files, movies and music for easy access anywhere. All those servers bought were never said to be just for games but just for microsofts cloud.
The dedicated servers piece of the cloud is for gaming.
All the hype is just marketing bs
Especially if people have data limits... ouch!
I agree it is fine to be disappointed in something like this.
To call it sexism is something else entirely and that's the point I think.
I remember in metroid when sames needed a man's help... oh wait that never happened.
Demo's used to only be around 15-20 mins of gameplay
