What leads me to believe that they are distancing themselves from Microsoft is the part where they talk about having trouble with the esram.
Before they were touting the console as easy to develop for and it's ease of use now they are being more honest.
It indicates somewhat of a split.
Oh I have no doubts that this is great for crytek.
Is it secretly a playstation 1 in disguise? No? Then not the best console ever...
Seems they are distancing themselves from Microsoft a little. That's not a positive sign for xbox one.
Money happened...
You can get more money for your product if you can push a group of friends into owning multiple consoles and a copy of the same game each online rather than split screen at someone's house.
I think the magic of the breath of fire series is the idea that some kind of "higher power". be it a demon posing as a god and founding a religion that takes advantage of its followers to become more powerful, or an emperor who thinks he knows what's best for the people can be viewed in such a way that the gamer can see their point of view as valid while still understanding why the main team want to change of prevent what is happening.
The protagonist usually ju...
That's right it's expected. Guys are expected to cheat, expected lie and expected to screw anyone over to get what they want. These expectations are played all over media and men are vilified for it.
If a man ever gets a text messege while out with his significant other and it causes mistrust it is because of that negative image men have in the media.
If man did it no one would care you say? Of course people would care, people have cared so much for s...
It should however be stated that the journalists in this situation have also acted in a very morally reprehensible way. This takes away any notion of credibility from them and the websites they work for. Also being willing to compromise any integrity they had just for sex lowers their gender in the eyes of whoever reads about this controversy.
Are you trying to suggest that the past and present injustice many women are subject to (and I do agree that it's disgusting that it happens) somehow makes it ok for a woman to sexploit and demean these video game journalists?
Are you somehow trying to suggest that the exploitation of one gender is somehow more valid than the exploitation of the other gender?
If so then you are a sexist regardless of your own gender.
Both are equal and sh...
Zoe and the journalists having sex is not disgusting, those people using sex to influence game reviews and allowing it to effect game reviews is disgusting.
It's wise to make that definition to avoid being called a sexist for labeling a women who has sex as disgusting, which you did not explicitly say but I can understand why some reading would miss interpret whatever your intent was.
The social justice warriors as dragonknight calls them should remember ...
There are plenty of topics on this site that don't revolve around which camp is the superior one for gaming.
A few of these are:-
1) how the media push about treating women in video games in an overtly sexual way and with offensive and insensitive stereotypes completely ignored the fact that men are also treated in this way and while women cannot possibly live up to the characters beauty in games men can't possibly live up to their male counterparts e...
I get bored of pizza sometimes to. I change it up and eat some indian, maybe thai but after a while good old pizza is there waiting for me to want it's doughy comfort :).
Just because you are getting tired of Jrpg's it doesn't mean the genre won't be worthwhile later on down the line.
EA access will only be that future if it is embraced by gamers and sadly it seems that it is being.
Short term it does have good value to gamers who enjoy those games, but to gamers who enjoy playing a game the love years down the line this has awful value.
I would much rather play 60 dollars for a game I can own for life rather than subscribe to a service where the games may one day go away forever.
That's my own philosophy though, I can...
'Sigh'
This topic pains me to no end.
Innovation vs the old way is the way this argument is painted but from a business perspective it is much different than that.
Gamers are revenue to these companies, the hours we spend playing games are of value to them.
Any hours we spend playing old games they are not making money on those gamer hours, it would be more profitable for them if they either found a way to monetize p...
I agree that nintendo and Sony also do it but microsoft RELY on it.
They have used this strategy since they bought that multiplatform game originally designed for apple, what was that called? Oh yeah halo!
I think the fault lies with the philosophy.
While zynga games can be played for free the model is set up in such a way that if people invest enough of your time into it and get impatient people to fork over money. This model works so well because you have to be online to play most of these games making forking over money very convenient and easy.
The bubble is bursting on these games because they appeal to a casual market and with no real accomplishment after...

I am in my 30's and back in the day I used to believe similarly to how you do, but now I find myself going back to the old games and having more fun with them than the newer ones. I can't tell you how good it feels to pop in my old copy of mario bro's 3.
Nostalgia is a powerful thing but the big devs don't like people playing games they are not making money off.
I am old fashioned myself, there is something about driving home after picking a game up and having the game looking at you, begging you to tear open that plastic and put the game in the system. It's a part of the experience.
That aside though a digital distribution centered industry has mad it way easier for indie developers to release their product and unless the big developers somehow prevent the indies from using these platforms as they have it may very well be the in...
I agree somewhat. My days of buying new systems and current games will come to an end should this happen but I still have a massive backlog of old ps2 and 3 games on my to do list. I will happily linger on last gen to avoid the digital switch.
They should have done 8 vs 8 at the beginning. Many more people would have bought the game then.
