So not only can you yourself get a disease from meeting up with some skank like the ones on this site your PS4 can get share in the fun and catch some online sexually transmitted malware.

Can you get condoms for the PS4 on PSN?

Hilarious.

Laughable. You cannot do accurate polls that way. It is too demographic dependent. Which groups are responding to the poll? Are they kids? Are they the people that are actually going to buy the console? The problem with a poll like this is that it targets only a small amount of the actual customer base.

Can the poll be taken by the same person multiple times? What websites were the poll placed on? Were they neutral sites?

The only way to do accurate p...

I don't subscribe to ESPN doesn't mean much to me in that regard but I do think that this is a great thing. I like the whole idea that they are trying to get everything under one roof for your entertainment.

To be honest the other than my Fiber Op internet and TV the only subscription that I pay for right now is Netflix and obviously Xbox Live Gold.

I know that people will say but you can watch it with out the Xbox One and you are correct. But I r...

I think that this is a bad oversight on MS part. Getting a good reputation in a place like Singapore which happens to be the only sovereign city state in the world would be an excellent stepping stone into the huge market in China and much of Eastern Asia.

Singapore may be a small market of only 5 million people but getting a good reputation and solid foot hold there could prep a lot of other markets in that area for there console and services.

It could simp...

They should have a disclaimer in this article, "Corporate Mouth Piece Alert". There are two reasons that go together on why the PS4 did not come with the camera. They would have had to charge around $80 more for it and they could not justify this cost as it was no where near as capable as the Kinect 2.

What do people expect these guys to come out and say, "We think that it is really a good idea to have all these features that the Kinect offers but our vers...

The issue obviously exists but Sony has told EA to refer all people contacting EA to refer to Sony so that they can do damage control. This must be an issue with BF4 not working with the first patch and that is why EA is getting calls.

I have not seen one comment on here saying the 360 did not have issues. I had two that ended up with RROD. The first ran for 2 years and I got replaced under warrantee and the replacement crapped out about 2 years after that. It was also replaced under warrantee. I have not had a problem since. It sucked and I was pissed but such is life.

The point @Hartsy is making is that he decided to go for an Xbox One because he felt the close confines of the PS4 design made him thi...

You are incorrect. The Xbox One scaler is based on the same one as the PS4 as they both come from AMD. The Xbox One was customized by the Xbox One hardware team with AMD. It is far more optimized therefore it is not identical.

I did not mean that the scaler technology was new. I meant that its customization and implementation on the Xbox One was new. The PS4 scaler is not customized in the same way.

I just wanted to repost this to the comment that was made that the Xbox One and PS4 have the same scalar technology in it. They do not. Here is my post that got buried because I was replying to a Troll:

No they do not have the same scalar chip at all. The Xbox One has a dedicated scalar chip that not only does the usual scaling that most people are aware of (i.e. upping resolution). It also allows the game developers to optimise code so that if a game is running 1080p at sa...

No they do not have the same scalar chip at all. The Xbox One has a dedicated scalar chip that not only does the usual scaling that most people are aware of (i.e. upping resolution). It also allows the game developers to optimise code so that if a game is running 1080p at say 60 fps but runs into a really intense rendering scene it can be drop the resolution to say 900p in the outlying portions of the screen that your eyes are not focusing on. So part of the image is rendered at 900p and t...

You are absolutely correct sir. Don't expect Super Yoshida and his Bright Blue Cape tight spandex with PS4 emblazoned on the front to come flying through the air at mach 10 to save you from DRM.

At this early stage of the game with PS4 being the only real money maker and hope to save Sony Corp from having to sell their employees underwear (they can't sell their Global and North American head quarters twice) they have little choice but to toe the line that their noisy...

I believe that in the second paragraph I said XBL Gold and PSN+. Those are the comparisons I was making and so is the author of the article.

XBL Gold's main purpose has been and will continue to be online gaming which it excels at. PSN+ is Sony's first real thrust at that. What I am saying is that the article should be focusing on Sony's push to catch up with Xbox Live Gold. MS has nothing to prove here other than continuing to provide. Now it is on Sony to s...

The argument that this was something that could not be put in due to time constraints does not hold water. This is an off the shelf Blu Ray player not some one off. Yes, they would have to have drivers and codecs designed to the console OS and SOC. Neither of these things are a big deal. Does anyone believe that they had to write 500,000 lines of code for this to work? One or two of their software engineers could have written this stuff in a couple of days. This console has been finaliz...

@Joe90 Of that I am sure. Hence my bubble count at 3.

@stevehyphen Yes it is conjecture, but it is logical conjecture. Yes both machines require a patch. Yet Sony happens to be one of the main companies in the Blu Ray consortium and cannot ship the console with it able to play Blu Ray movies out of the box? You cannot tell me that they could not have the codecs for MP3, CD, and Blu Ray playback in the firmware and OS during manufacture. When the machine is designed and...

I agree that it is great that MS is giving games for free and that you get to keep them if your membership expires. But to me the whole premise of this article is ridiculous.

MS needs to play catch up on a ONLINE GAMING SERVICE? I don't disagree that the extra little things like free games are good to have. I do disagree that free games is what the focus should be for Xbox Live Gold or PSN+.

Bottom line: MS created the first true universal online gam...

From the above article:

"The PS4 comes with a Blu-ray player, but it doesn't play Blu-rays unless you install a Day-One patch that adds the ability to read DVDs and Blu-rays. That's right – you have a Blu-ray player in your PS4 that can't play Blu-rays and DVDs unless you download a 300 MB patch.

The PlayStation 4's lead architect Mark Cerny said that it's not a PlayStation issue. It's a physics issue. The PS4 is not designed to r...

I think that it is a great feature. The main problem is that you are paying an extra $300 or more for this feature which will keep it as a non feature for most people.

No, what you see is pushing for COD to be 1080p so that it can drop frames instead.

This really is a preference thing. I will admit that I prefer the line up for the Xbox One but then I tend to prefer the type of games that gravitate to the Xbox Brand and games that are played online which means I want to play on the more reliable online platform which is Xbox Live.

That being said MS has to increase its first party offerings over the last gen. We know that when they put the attention and effort into it they can produce genre changing games. It has invest...

I personally prefer the look of the Xbox One. I am not a real fan of the parallelogram theme of the PS4. It kind of looks like some sort of weird geometric art sculpture that you would see in one of those modernist 1980's homes. But everyone has their opinion.

I am quite glad that the Xbox One was designed at the size that it is for the simple fact that it can have a really large fan which can move a lot of air with a really quiet fan and from what we have heard so far...
