So how did PUBG influence the Playstation gamers not to purchase Lawbreakers? Not like it was competing with it at all.
Except it did no such thing. It established that the X is so powerful that it has no competition. And the comparative Pro is not beating it. Sure... the PS4 is beating the Xbox One but the X is by far overpowering the Pro.
Sure the Pro and X are considered the luxury models of each brand and are not going to sell as well as the cheaper Slim versions. But it does not change the topic that X is the most powerful system and Pro is finding it hard to compare itself with it... ...
I would be happy at 45fps and 1440p.
What are you talking about? Most FPS multiplayer experiences are 60fps on console. It's simply up to the Dev to utilize consoles powers.
@SenorFartCushion - correct, Snope in no way was going to be the main villain. Just as Vader was the main villain and Darth Sidious was just the Evil Force behind his rath, Kylo Ren is the main villain and Snope was simply the wannabe Evil Force behind him. Kylo Ren has quickly shown that he is eviler than any villain we have seen yet in Star Wars.
And Rey with her discovery that she has no attachment to others in the film canon is little surprise. She is basically becomin...
"...titles that at one point had us excited to play them only to dash our hopes with their terrible gameplay, bad graphics, lousy level design and just plain awful production values" - near all these games had likely no one except the author excited to play them. Most we knew were going to be trash and thus why we didn't buy them and didn't play them.
I know right. 1 million players in 48 hours and it is marked as a failure. But Origins gets 1.5 million in 4 weeks and is doing great.
Sorry, but I will continue to say it. VR is the new Kinect except not as many people have it. And people will continue to yell out that they are enjoying it. Good for you, many people enjoyed Kinect too didn't mean it wasn't a fad too.
Everyone is completely missing the point of early access gaming on Xbox One. It has little to do with optimization and showcasing anything, it has most to do with giving interested players a chance at being involved in the development of a game at very early initiation in the cycle of it. And then being a part of the community that brings that game to fruition.
Early access is for real gamers (yes I used that term) that want to do more than just play the next finished game...
That is what they just said.
It can only make it easier to enhance a game for each respective Pro or X model. It obviously does nothing for the development on the base systems themselves.
I would have to believe he was generalizing his statement against the idea of a better system and not the X per say. “For indies, [having] more powerful consoles means games are easier to develop. Time spent on performance optimization is time not spent on polishing other game aspects.” So this does not equate to the...
@mkis007 - so your take on the Pro is that it is where the Devs that make exclusives will flex? Really? Point being that if it is an exclusive then they have no choice but to flex there.
That is like saying that prisoners flex in the yard. Yes, that is because they don't have the option to flex at a place where they aren't incarcerated.
PS4 has an insurmountable lead in console sales over XB1. But the idea that Pro itself has any advantage over ...
@Eonjay - you must not have checked like... at all then? https://academic.oup.com/as...
Tell that to the millions of GTA V players on console that play at 30fps.
Nope, Devs stated that they had gotten it to run at 60fps on XB1X and that it was running near 40fps on XB1. They are launching on Xbox Game Preview initially at 30fps on all systems and will continue to work on optimizing the game while in the preview program.
I like they comment on the fact of men not having bulges added in their character models. Then clearly shows a picture of men having bulges in their character models already. Did they want it bigger?
We are talking on the PSVR. So... no it didn't even reach half the numbers of Kinect sales and we know where that ended up.
I welcome the delay... I was intending on purchasing both 'Far Cry 5' and 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' and this gives me a longer time to enjoy KC:D before jumping into FC5.
BETA simply means it is pre-launch status. Monetisation has nothing to do with if a game is in BETA or not. The same way a free launched game is not considered BETA.
