lukasmain - how could this hurt GamePass? Are you claiming that a large majority of the 30 million GamePass subscribers are going to purchase HD2 and not play GamePass? You act as if us GamePass subscribers don't already play games outside of GamePass. Literally Xbox has reported already that GamePass subscribers make more game purchases than those not subscribed.

True that... Sony literally sold it in regions where PSN was not even available and then required the PSN account login. then took away the PSN account requirement but STILL blocked countries without PSN from purchasing it on PC.

I mean all the same people that saw little issue when PC players called it out oddly have an issue now. lol

@LordoftheCritics for 3 years they literally said it was not like TES and not to make the comparison. lol

I have to imagine you have never played the game. At first I watched a lot of streamers playing it during early release... and it didn't look that fun while watching them. But when it dropped on Game Pass I started playing it and it was much different than simply watching others do something. The game is so much into exploration and discovery than Elder Scrolls games. As well a very strong focus on combat and character customization attributes. There is no thief class so don't expect ...

Exactly this. Sony came out and stated their plans to push live service games. Does anyone imagine it was just chance and all those many devs wanting to do microtransaction IPs at once? More likely it was a collaboration that could not be refused type situation.

It is literally why those guys get paid the big bucks. And likely why those guys are no longer working at the company now. The leaving the company "over issues he had living in Europe while working in North America" excuse just has never flown with most anyone.

GSC Game World literally got paid just as every other team that put games on Game Pass. Supporting the workers by having their games actually played.

Exactly that. People usually tend to go to LEGO games of franchises they are already invested in. There is little interest in Horizon outside the PlayStation base. They would need a big dev or something more to draw in those not already invested in their eco-system.

Just reflects the fact many PlayStation IPs don't have as much draw/interest outside of their base console system. We have seen it with a few of their IPs... drawing less purchase than expected.

$20... seems like an easy purchase for most. Kojima knows what they are doing.

Supposedly the rumors are that the leak originated from someone downloading the PS4 version of it on their cracked PS4. So it looking like a "PS4 game" would fit seeing that is the version that was leaked/stolen.

Yes... the term "Halo Killer" was very popular in all of the articles on the game when it was being promoted. Everyone claiming that "Sony never said..." and yet today we know and have learned that articles are controlled by those who pay for them to happen.

This was the early days of game marketing change that had Sony trying to not have anyone fill the hole that Sega left in their departure. They discounted MSFT early on and then reacted only when the...

Incorrect. Prior to the the studio being shut down Shinji Mikami the lead developer left to create his own studio. And some of his team left with him. He wanted to take a completely new direction in his development and didn't want to continue "His reasons for wanting to leave weren't animus, as Mikami said he wanted to create an environment where young talent could prosper through development which included shorter project cycles, for example. Mikami also had a desire to make uni...

Any idea that Game Pass is a "loss leading service that isn't profitable" is just not accurate. When it comes to actual "profit" don't imagine Sony is leading in this category as they are not. They were bringing in the most revenue of the big three but with the least profit. There is a reason Game Pass is being talked about and PS+ is not. It is because Game Pass offers gamers what they want. Prices change as well do subscription plans. PS+ themselves have been for...

Obviously the team that remained after so many left didn't meet the needs of MSFT. A new team is not unusual for new projects. Some of the old team moved on internally and we do not know where they all went. The resources elsewhere that were freed up could likely have even been a part what spun up this new studio. Resources move. Just not in Tango Austin anymore.

I didn't get past training area of Guardians nor Witcher 3. I just moved on to other games that were out at the time. Didn't mean they weren't good games just not games that got me interested.

No. I spent 10 hours in a single area of Jemison before I even started playing the missions. Same can be done of really most any location. Just keep scanning the horizon and find a new location pop up. Rinse and repeat until there is no more areas to find. then you can move on. I have yet to fully explore even a single grid. Even the 10hrs stint on Jemison had more areas in the distance I spotted and did not completely explore.

@vits. Obviously you have not played the game if you imagine the opening scene of Starfield only took 25 minutes to complete. lol
