And parts of their gameplay was clearly inspired by God of War or similar titles, so it's totally justified. If anything it's a form of flattery considering GoW is the hack and slash benchmark, just like CoD is currently the FPS benchmark.
Adaptive synchronisation is the future, and will benefit all displays. You can't expect all computers, mobiles and consoles to come with a GPU capable of a constant 120hz...
I don't think he sounds like he's knocking AMD here. Reading between the lines it sounds like he admits working with other companies to make a uniform standard (which is happening) is the best way forward.
But it's slow, and by pushing G-sync, Nvidia can have an exclusive killer feature for a limited time as well as well as selling adaptive sync as the future.

No, listen. Consoles already have the equivalent of mantle built in, so to speak. Mantle is made to let PCs get some of the same advantages consoles already have.
Do you know how Direct X works? It's like the language your graphics card reads, Mantle is the same thing but allow access to lower-level optimisation. This is already a thing with consoles, they have the most custom language with plenty of access to lower-level stuff. Lower-level being a good thing, coding to ...

Mantle is low-level API, consoles already have that. Could maybe help XO though, if that's using DirectX, but probably not.
No problem. Think it's on PS3 currently, maybe Vita as well. At least it's coming to all PS platforms.
None of the retailers I've checked with are selling it at full price. But then I'm in Europe and our games cost more from the start.
