I think they can still save this sinking ship, but every decision counts at this point.
Bring out a Wii U with a harddrive Nintendo (120gb, user upgradable) and drop the casual and premium bullsh!t, it's such a weakness. I can't play my digital copy of Splinter Cell, because as soon as the external drive falls to sleep, I'm forced to do a hard reset.
Marketing, marketing, marketing, somewhat underpowered (360 has a more powerful CPU...), marketing, third-party relations, no HDD, marketing, mixed controllers (or is that a strength?), marketing, marketing.
To be fair, it's not like he's the sole person involved with the Wii U.
The gamepad IS the Wii U, scrapping it makes no sense. If the system could go against the XO and Ps4 in power, then maybe it could do without, but it needs to show itself as something unique and not just an Xbox 360 with Nintendo games.
Neither. It just shows that Kojima had access to a Sony tablet and used it to show off SmartGlass. If anything this is marketing for both companies.
If I was showing off my new game on SmartGlass, I wouldn't consider which platform is the most politically correct. I'd just use whatever's at hand, likely my personal device.
It's possible to make major changes to an engine and add new capabilities. That's what they're doing between every new game.
Basically you'll eventually end up with a very different engine, but ND doesn't call it new. Unlike DICE, Epic, Crytek and so on, because they're not licencing it out. No need to market the tool, just the game.
This isn't out until autumn or something, why should I pre-order before E3?
Perfect score =/= perfect game.
No point in using a ten point scale if you can't give a tenner.
Don't forget Intelligent Systems and HAL. I'm assuming the latter is working on Yarn Yoshi and Smash, but after that, who knows? I'd love a new Mother-title on the 3DS. Intelligent Systems will be in the early fases of a new project or two as we write.
Looking forward to the follow-up article about these other studios.
Great article, more of this and less clickbaiting nonsense disguised as news please!
The Bards Tale is like a fully fledged console title, because that's what it is. Or was, back on the first Xbox and (I assume) PS2.
Nintendo should hold a 24h sale or something with prices like this, would make for a fair bit of marketing.
18 out of 20, wow. It's translated from French, but understandable, and it's more positive than I expected.
I thought the DS was the iPod of gaming. At school and with friends, I'm that guy with a Vita. It's not popular enough, yet.
I don't have such patience, it's a lead in to Phantom Pain, not a demo, so it could take a year or more after PP releases before a combo is out. That's a long spoilerfilled time.
Most studies are sponsored by people wanting the results to swing one way or another. Always take them with several grains of salt.
Nice, I'm assuming it'll be 3D rendered characters instead of 2D sprites like the PSP games. Anyway, the higher resolution should do wonders.
Wouldn't that go completely against the whole point of playing Tomb Raider? :-P
Why would I be joking? Those screens look good, but I remember it looking a bit crap (technically that is, the designs and such is awesome) and running terribly. You couldn't even change resolution properly without a mod. And then there's GFWL...
Only time will tell.
