Should be enough to make a difference in how stable framerates can be. Say a game will run at a stable rate instead of dipping down every now and then.
This can only be seen as a good thing.
My condolences go out to his friends and family.
Rest in piece brave man.
What a stupid headline.
I'll be surprised if Nintendo release a new system before 2017.
Because online multiplayer is generally so friendly and peaceful... :-P
*Bought a pulse headset last year, wants new one this year*
Technicalities matter, always have, always will.
It's not the most important part of a games makeup, unless it gets in the way of the players enjoyment of the game.
I'm just happy we no longer have to be bothered by excessive screen-tearing, lack of texture-filtering/low-res textures and framerates down in the low 20s.
Not to hate on BF4, I really like the MP and have had very few problems... But;
Upscaling doesn't matter, a Wii U runs all games (even old Wii ones) upscaled to 1080p. Mario Galaxy still renders at less than 480p. BF4 is 1600x900p. This is a decent resolution in my opinion and is acceptable as the new sub-720p.
It's maxed at 60FPS, but it doesn't stay stably there at all. It moves continually about and probably averages around 50.
...
Well, that escalated.
You sure know how to make the most of that one bubble and fill it with weird passive aggressiveness.
I've read the thread on Neogaf, and it's holding up to scrutiny, it's certainly no quick copy paste.
I'd say it's believable, Nintendo is still pushing Kid Icarus with the animated videos on 3DS even though it's been a long time since the game came out. Why are they still in rotation unless there's a plan for continuing the series? The old games are on the virtual console and adding Palutena to Smash Bros makes for good marketing for a sequel. Then...
I need this in my life! Why can it not come to PC?!
I think the PS4 is pretty, but the power and eject "buttons" are simply awful, the usb port placement means you can't fit thick sticks like my 120GB one in and then there's the wobble. It's certainly not perfect.
We might see the Wii U getting a successor in (maybe even slightly less than) four years time, that'll make for a five year lifecycle which makes sense. And I'd say a 3DS successor in three years time.
So the next DS will have two identical widescreens, and buttons on the side of the bottomn one? That sounds unbelievable right there, not to mention having both rumble and haptic feedback in the thumbsticks on a reasonably priced handheld.
A sliding design makes little sense over clamshell due to heat and conveniece, the Vita was meant to be sliding, like the PSP Go, but it produced too much heat.
And a next gen home console with both DDR4 and DDR3 (the lat...
And make a duopol? No way. Nintendo needs to get a better marketing group, match its competitors in hardware (I don't want them to drop the Wii U, but for their next system they need to keep up like they used to) and improve third-party relations.
Could it be Metroid-based? I can't make it fit anywhere else, being an alien looking forest with futuristic platforms.
I think most of the hype died when it got delayed. People are looking forward to it, but there's not as much excitement as there used to be.
Slap a harddrive in it (120 or 250gb user replaceable, drop the basic and premium bs and let colours be colours, stick to one model), make some killer bundles and bring out Zelda in 2014.
Pretty great list. I hope Nintendo will support this game post-launch with additional characters and stages.
