I hate games that cut a few lines of the resolution like Far Cry 3 and old Wii games. But here it's far more prominent and could work although I prefer to use the full screen.
I say go for it and see how it turns out, then make changes for the sequel if it sucks. At least it's an interesting gimmick.
Skyrims weakest part has never been the visuals, this is like one of those fake Chinese supercars that look like a Ferrari but has some Nissan familycar underneath.
Thanks! The game looks brilliant.
I can't get it to scale to fit the screen when I render at less than native on my monitor. The result is massive black bars... They better fix it by launch.
Yes let's close our eyes to the new verticality of stage design, the gliders and underwater sections from 7, what looks like the item holding from Double Dash and the eyegasm HD visuals. And that's just the big and obvious stuff.
I can't wait to play this game.
I'd like to direct this facepalm towards you and mention that Polygon broke the embargo. That's the main issue here.
This game is too fast paced for the stream, I just got compression-blocks all over. Can't wait to see it in good quality!
Mmm... Yummy YouTube compression.
Except it clearly isn't enough. Not for a full HD framebuffer with all the next gen bells and whistles.
It's the same amount as the EDRAM in the Wii U.
Demon's and Dark Souls 1 are rated 16 in Europe, I think it'll stay the same here.
Sheesh people, this is a good thing. At least to some extent. Would you rather have an early but buggy release or wait and have a solid one? Clearly something came up, and I'd rather gave them fix it BEFORE release so there won't be another update just to fix the broken one.
I've not played Heavenly Sword, wouldn't mind a PS4 port with updates.
Super Mario Galaxy is very atmospheric.
Could be a way to boost sales, but at the cost of nudity and "touching the demon inside her".
I just hope they improve enemy encounters. I prefer more believable fights with fewer enemies where you can choose how to approach, over wave after wave of bad guys coming out of the woodworks and forcing you to just stay behind a wall for five minutes.
Uncharted (and most other action games) tends to start off great in the first camp and then just get a bit unimaginative in the second half. It's the only negative point I can make on the franchise, and unfortunately it di...
I think I'll just go for the digital version. But if I did buy this physically, then this special edition would probably be the one.
The Wii U needs a killer app, but we shouldn't shun the ones we do get.
It's the same game, but with HD visuals, underwater levels, Ramby the rhinoceros, Dixie, Cranky amd David Wise. Sounds like a recipe for success IMO.
May I ask what on Earth drove you to buy two systems?
I'd give a very honourable mention to Sanzaru and Bluepoint. But I'd love to see more Japanese teams.
I got mine six months after launch. Do you guys use external storage? Because it seems to be a factor heavily in play here. Also YouTube and Netflix can crash at startup every now and then.
I felt the need to play devil's advocate here.
A game that can adapt it's camera is not at all the same as a film. In a film, yes filling the screen would cut off the sides if it's filmed super-wide. But a game that's rendered in realtime can compensate by moving the camera and so not miss anything you were meant to see. This could move the camera further away and give you additional vertical picture, actually offering more.
It all depends on...
