Not that bad imo, here's an example.
Ironman Blu-Ray (2 Disc) - http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu...
Ironman DVD (2 disc) - http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD...
Yeah, horrible eh?
It's certainly a nice feature for sure but comments like "this will piss all over the PSN" are retarded. It's a nice feature but that's all it is, it's nothing amazing, revolutionary or even innovative so comments like that are pretty dumb.
but unfortunately all they showed us was that jap guy's mullet and some old bald dude playing the game and looked like he was lost
video was basically a waste of time for anyone not fluent in Japanese
I actually thought that was pretty funny for what it was lol.
However here is another funny one.

Had they firmly believed in digital distribution, why did they release a HD DVD player add-on?
HD DVD failed and they either don't want to bow to the winner of the HD format war or don't want Sony making money off the sales of a blu-ray add on.
Widespread digital distribution for high definition content is not going to be common or mainstream any time soon for various reasons (which we can get into if someone likes, love a good debate), ESPECIALLY on a platform who's...
Going to be interesting to see what kind of solutions they offer, it's hard though to see them absorbing the cost of anything outside of rrod.
Overall a really good read and I think Yoshida conducted himself admirably in the face of a couple of tricky questions.
I was especially glad to read his comments on Home and that from launch it will be exactly what I'm expecting it to be which is not some instantly amazing application but a very promising one that will grow over time.
His opinions on 3rd party titles were also pretty good and I'm glad they anticipated how 3rd parties would go.
This is just about 3rd party companies.
It's already widely known that the likes of Naughty Dog, Insomniac etc. are working with Sony on Home, creating features for it such as the Uncharted space currently in the Beta.
Overall a good article and some really good points, along with the fact he stated he doesn't dislike the PS3 or any other console and respects them and what they bring to the table.
What I do take issue with though are a couple of what I see as blemishes in an otherwise decent article.
He generalised the firmware updates, it read as if there are numerous issues with PS3 FW updates which simply isn't true, the only instance of this that I can recall is the 2.4 update ...
I think it's slated for Spring '09
This is pretty impressive, I've been considering a PSP-3000 for a while (for when they come out that is) and this is kind of pushing me closer towards it.
I have a question though if someone could answer it'd be sweet. Can I play mp3 and videos like movies I've downloaded or ripped from one of my dvd's on the PSP? I know they'd probably have to go on some form of external memory for the PSP but is it possible to convert say a .avi format movie for PSP and play it on there?
Whilst I love the look and features of this and plan on getting one (probably with socom) this isn't anything new at all, I've seen better sotires not get approved. We seen the images of this on the playstation blog around Liepzig time, only thign not yet seen is it in the packaging and the packagig definitely isn't news lol.
Images of it bundled with socom would be another thing though.
Snakeboy ftw!
If there was a really awesome theme I really wanted I wouldn't mind paying for it, I'm sure 360 owners feel the same about the themes on offer to them.
It's all on the individual, if people feel the product justifies the price then they pay for it.
Luckily PS3 fans have a choice of some nice free themes on the PSN and a plethora of custom themes also available for free on various websites.
I feel cheated because it isn't out yet here in the UK :(
It still remeains to be seen whether or not this is true but would it really surprise anyone if MS came out with a BR add-on? It wouldn't surprise me in the least and it's good news for any 360 owner who hasn't yet adopted and has been thinking about it.
And lets not forget this is MS, if they can make money off it then they'll most likely give it a shot.
By the time it gets released though the PS3 might have had a price drop or be close to one and the only "che...
I'm not too sure the 360 even had HDMI support at launch, I think that may have been added some point down the line.
Maybe someone could confirm if the 360 launched with HDMI or not please? Although I'm fairly certain it didn't but could of course be wrong.
You're slightly inaccurate there, it isn't needed to make games you're right but if you want something of the quality of Uncharted, MGS4 or Killzone 2 then Blu-Ray is essential. I remember an article of an interview with the guy from Naughty Dog that said Uncharted was like 24 gigs.
Not at all viable on DVD9
Remind me of that game recently that had to be changed because of DVD9 storage space? Some shooter I think I can't recall the name of it.
You want g...
oops replied in wrong place
Personally for me it's not a big deal, I have a 60GB launch model but I rarely if ever use the BC functionality because as of now there are a lot of new games that I'd prefer to spend time with and I'd have bought a PS3 with or without BC.
Although that being said it'd be better if everyone had the option to do so. Even if they could develop a firmware update to at least give partial BC I think that would go a long way to appeasing a lot of people. I mean surely they could develo...
