Your comment might have had some shred of validity if the PS3 and it's games were only sold in France.
Unless ofc those 5m Gears games were all sold solely in 1 country ofcourse.
That is a pretty sweet bundle as those are some great PSN games.
However don't be too amazed or shocked at the price, a good friend of mine that I've gamed with for years is Norwegian and prices of stuff there is apparently pretty crazy and their currency just got a lot weaker against the dollar. For instance he told me an iPhone there was around a thousand bucks.
They talk about the PS3 being poor value for money yet cite the 360 as a great buy because of it's low price point. I wonder did they bother looking at what you get out of the box with both machines.

However I do want a PSP so they might be onto something as far as that is concerned!
Why do people care about the review scores anyway? They are virtually useless in almost every aspect which is why I don't trust review scores. Take Metacritic for example, how does an A translate into a 100? Even 1UP were confused.

Makes sense, whilst digital distribution for movies and stuff is far, far away from being a mainstram form of distribution it's pretty much normal for music. Physical media for music doesn't sell all that great and Blu-Ray is on the up so why not jump on the bandwagon to sell music digitally and give the brick and mortar space to a product that is selling better all the time.

However just over the weekend there I saw the ad again and this time it did mention not only that a HDD was needed but it also gave the price of the Pro and then at the end of the ad it did it's usual "console from £129.99" statement.

The game was always good, it's bad reviews were based on some launch bugs and server issues.
If you'd actually read any of the reviews theactual gameplay got pretty good reactions, it was just some bugs and server load issues that lowered the review score, those have now been greatly improved on and over time will most likely be completely eradicated.
Whether it's "as good as R2" is based purely on personal opinion, don't read too much into review scores. ...

Looking forward to KZ2 very much. I'm not a huge fan of shooters but can't wait for this game along with R2.
Not a bad commercial, I prefer the US one though.
I won't mind paying for a costume that I think is really cool and that I'd want. They don't have any influence on gameplay or game mechanics so if people don't like or want a costume they don't have to buy it and won't be losing out in terms of how they and others play the game.
Hopefully there's some really awesome costumes and other stuff in the works.

Nobody is complaining about the score, reasonable readers believe it to be a great score which it is.
The problem is the actual article was very contradictory of the score given, the writer constantly pointed out what he saw as faults and generally criticised aspects of the game.
Personally I don't care if I see that exclusive DLC on my PS3 or not, it would be nice for those that would like it though.
I would much prefer Sony to invest their money in R&D and with their first and second party studios so that we can enjoy great exclusive games that take full advantage of the console's capabilities because as we have seen this gen it's only really those first and second party exclusives that have given is the "PS3 experience"
I'd disagree that the 360 is doing very well in Japan, neither is the PS3 really. The sales figures that get brandished around for both in Japan are pretty weak.
I owned Warhawk on day 1, game ran flawlessly and I've only ever heard of it's alleged problems from PS3 haters on this site.
However ANY online game suffering server problems is hardly surprising. Any and all networks suffer problems, especially in it's infancy, as long as the issue is addressed and fixed ina timely manner there really isn't that much of a reason to complain, ESPECIALLY when you're not even paying for the service. I can't speak for everyone but personally I do most of my reading and posting from work lol. When I'm not at work and not doing something else in life I do exactly what you have suggested, I play games.
Also don't think anyone was bashing the 360, regardless of how you may perceive their comments and opinions.
