Unfortunately it's difficutlt to convey tone and any kind of attitude in a post but thinking I'm any kind of fanboy in the sens of blindly loving Sony and hating all else is pretty wide of the mark.

I think it's clear to anyone with functioning eyes that Killzone 2 is visually leaps and bounds ahead of Gears 2 and that is not based off this article alone or these 2 pictures.
Gears 2 does look good but it pales in comparison to KZ2 in terms of visuals.
Gameplay can't really be commented on just yet.
Judging from the demo I'd have thought the score for audio would have been higher but ah well it's still a pretty good score and the review as somewhat glowing.
I was looking forward to this game and the demo along with this review just cemented it as a no brainer.

This is basically standard legal jargon.
I mean be serious here for a second. You create a level and upload it, people download it for free and play it, that's the whole premise of the game. Sony might well use footage of your level in a TV ad and may or may not give you mention. If they do, everybody knows you design good levels and if not, people will know who made the level and you'll have your credit, just from a "smaller" group of people.

To be fair, the 360 comes non-wireless just like the PS2 ;)
But it is robably a better deal, it all depends on what you're looking for, the PS2 still sells incredibly well considering it's age so plenty of people seem to be considering it a good deal.

Old build or nor I've never had a go at any demo of M:PR so I'm currently downloading it.
Killzone 2 kind of backs up what every and any Sony/PS3 fanboy says about the PS3 being capable of much superior graphics. There's nothing on any other console or platform with the exception of Crysis that is as visually impressive as KZ2 and they still have like what 4 months to polish that ganme even more.

He doesn't like the liscensing but seems to like Blu-Ray even if he and apple push DD via iTunes but that wasn't what he was talking about really. That and he's pushing DisplayPort over HDMI for some strange reason but we'll forgive him, he's only human and we all make mistakes.

I love BR movies but I don't think I'd be bothering with a blu-ray drive for my PC or laptop at the moment.
I just think it's sacrilige to watch a Blu-Ray movie on anything but a nice big full HD TV.
Of course if I had my PC hooked up to my 40" Samsung LCD I'd probably be very keen on a BR drive for my PC but as it is I'm very happy with just using my PS3 for my Blu-Ray needs.

I think the PS3 will be fine with it's performance capabilities as new gaming engines are developed and tweaked that it's hardware can handle along with future price drops and game releases from it's awesome 1st and 2nd party developers. Not to mention further enhancements to the system itself and the PSN which Sony are cintinually improving.
