I personally don't mind the timeline, though it should only be split into two, just the success/fail. Alternate timelines make sense, though if they could somehow put it all back into one that would be great.
The campaign is a fully fledged story, they've already given the intro to the story in the trailer. If you go to YouTube some of the bigger YouTubers have early access to the game and have started the campaign.
It is a medieval action adventure, but also has a fully fledged multiplayer to go along with it.
They never got rid of the campaign. But the always online is a little annoying. But the game itself is pretty good, played the beta and I've loved it so far.
The main fixes it needs is the ability to change weapons in the lobby, a way to exit a lobby, vote on maps/game modes, and in game voice chat.
Also more characters and gear to choose from, more maps, various new modes, etc.
Seems like they're handling most of that stuff, but we don't know all that much about it yet.
Same, only game i'm interested in is Zelda, and I have a WiiU for that.
85% of stats are made up on the spot...
Ive been fairly negative about the switch, but ive realized it's mostly because I already own a WiiU, so it's launch lineup isn't really convincing for me.
But to a non WiiU owner which is the majority of gamers it could actually
be enticing. It's a cool concept, and does have some decent games lined up, but we'll have to wait and see what other games come out.
@ImGumbybyDammit It's not that I disagree that the switch line up is bad, because it totally is. They're simply not Xbox one exlusives. It's a simple fact.
Dude this article has nothing to with that, it's just commenting on it's exclusive line up. Key word "exclusive".
Switch Off. Joy Con is a glorified wii remote. Online functionalities are a joke. Many of the games announced are ports that are already available. Accessories are a rip off. $70 for a "pro" controller?
Power wise it's weak. Doesn't come anywhere near PS4/XBONE, not to mention PS4 Pro and Scorpio. Only game that would convince me to buy it is Zelda. Oh wait, it's also on WiiU, and the switch version barely improves on it.
Joy con is literally a fancy wii remote. Their "competent" online is competent for a free service, it's extremely lackluster for a paid service. And the voice chat requires a seperate device and downloading an app, and probably only allows chat between friends.
5 of their biggest franchises? Zelda is on WiIU. Mario Kart deluxe is just MK8 with some extra dlc thrown in. Splatoon looks good, and Xenolblade looks decent. Mario looks fine, but Mario is getting a ...
They need to have sku and bundle options, have various color schemes, different options for the variety of gamers that are out there. Feel like they blew it with the switch.
"More of the same"...well it is a sequel. As a player of the original there are plenty of differences as in new maps/setting, lots of new guns/gear, new characters, a new story/single players. It was just a tease, they haven't really told us much yet.
That's what a sequel is supposed to be. Same/similarr art style, same core gameplay with a few new/retweeked mechanics. It's a multiplayer shooter, so of course the gameplay is going to look strikingly si...
They say they are trying to get away from the wii brand yet the joy con demonstration is literally just revamped wii remotes/motion gaming...
Launch line-up is weak, Zelda is the only one I'm interested in, and I'll just pick it up for WiiU. Switch is gonna flop.
Can't forget their new online "service," the smartphone voice chat thing is ridiculous. Just give us in game chat and parties and stuff.
I came into the presentation excited and left disappointed. Definitely keeping my WiiU just for Zelda.
It's a little on the cringy side...
Well I'm not too convinced by the Switch, but I'm gonna wait till the actual reveal in a couple weeks until I pass judgement on it.
Um, who cares? Doesn't affect the game in anyway. It's an online multiplayer shooter, backstory and character development have no bearing on the game whatsoever.
I don't mind the fact that tracer is gay, it just seems kinda unnecessary and more of a token than anything.
Again, who cares, it doesn't (shouldn't) affect anyone's enjoyment of the game.
I agree, I was excited wen they released the teaser but kind of disappointed that it was nothing more than teaser. The console release in less than 4 months, and we still know very little about it.
Well it's a great game with an engaging combat system that actually takes skill to do well in. Solid campaign (so far), comparative multiplayer, free dlc (even though we get it later than season pass holders). It's a solid game that deserves recognition.
