guess i need to get my eyes checked. lol.
not a bad list, but it needs more old school Ninja Gaiden and some Battletoads.
from what they've shown so far, the multiplayer looks pretty bad. not much skill involved and no real action. while i think NGS2's multiplayer was a pretty poor implementation, i do think that style works better, where you have two or more players teaming up against the AI in things like team missions, survival mode, or even something like an assassination mode, since NG3 seems to have some stealth elements in it.
i'm disappointed to not see Muramasa: The Demon Blade on there. since they had Rayman Origins on there, they obviously took art style into consideration, and Muramasa has one of the most beautiful and inspired art styles ever in a game. it looks far better than Rayman ever could.
Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) --> Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox) --> Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Playstation 3) --> Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus (Playstation Vita)
and then you have.....
Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360) --> Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Playstation 3)
whoa now, watch that Pokemon talk.
thinking of playing fighting games on any handheld makes me want to throw up.
no Ninja Gaiden II?
wow.......
opinion or not, this guy is a fucking idiot for putting Squall on there. nobody cares about him or what he had to say at any point in the game. nothing he said or did was memorable.
and where's "Hadoken!"
i've heard some of the boss battles in the Persona games on PS2 are ridiculously long. my own longest boss battle was against Penance in Final Fantasy X. i imported the International version and a PAL PS2 just to play the full game.
i agree. i don't want them to change the current controller, just make a few tweaks to it. i love the size, weight, shape, and triggers.
agreed. it's just an illusion of difficulty. a game like Ninja Gaiden Black is naturally difficult and requires skill and practice as well as patience. Demon's Souls just requires patience because, like you said, if you die then you start at the beginning, and you might or might not lose a bunch of souls you worked for.
Demon's Souls is not that hard--it's just punishing. if you screw up, you can lose a bunch of souls that you worked for. but the game itself, the enemies, etc....they all have easy patterns to figure out and easy weaknesses to exploit.
as far as a comparison to Dark Souls, i'd say DaS is both better and harder than DeS.
it must really suck to be you.
@MagicAccent
yeah, Sony is so charitable that they're charging reasonable prices for their Vita memory cards.
oh, wait...
@BlackTar187
"Took me a whole lot of reading in the database to get my head around the series completely and i have been playing since Nsx."
lol. you think that's a sign of good storytelling? you're making my point for me. his storytelling is convoluted, needlessly complex and overlong. that's not how you tell a good story.
how much does the online pass cost if i buy the game used? this is really making me want to buy it used, since they're screwing us over with day one DLC. they can provide every explanation about it in the world, but as a consumer, paying $70 day one for the full game isn't pretty.
@SolidSnake
please don't try to tell me what i do and don't understand. i know that every game's story is connected. i understand the story. i understand where it connects each game to the next, or to the previous. i've played them all and enjoyed them, for the most part.
the bottom line is that Kojima is simply not a good writer/storyteller. his ideas are (usually) fine, but he has no idea how to present them well.
yeah, imo the only MGS console game that had a great ending was Snake Eater. 1, 2 and 4 were either meh, or WAY too long, or both.
i love the series and all, but Hideo Kojima is far from being a great writer. he's long winded and sometimes flat out preposterous.
somebody link me to an insanely good deal for a WiFi Vita and 16 or 32gb memory card bundle. i want a Vita, but i'm not getting ripped off for the card prices, especially when i have to buy games too.
