i love his final verdict--neither of the games are the winner. lol.
there's a difference between action and going over the top. MW2, MW3, and BF3 are over the top action sets. at least CoD4's action/excitement sets were well-paced and fresh.
and of course you have some of the greatest shooters ever, like Half-Life 2, Goldeneye 64, DOOM, and the first Halo, where you didn't need anything over the top. the games were great because they were well rounded and well made.
i've beaten Ninja Gaiden 2 and NGS2 on every difficulty multiple times, and i can say that overall on Mentor/MNM, they blow KZ2 on Elite out of the water as far as difficulty. it's night and day. KZ2 was rough at times, but manageable. NG2/NGS2 made you develop a skill set to excel.
the only game i've used Move for was Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition. i loved it, and i couldn't imagine playing it with a controller now. but the only reason i even have Move is because it came in a bundle when i replaced my fat PS3 with a slim.
i have Killzone 3 but haven't played it yet. i've heard mixed reviews about Move+KZ3. is it worth it?
search for me on youtube if you need help on how to beat it, i've beaten Ultimate Ninja 1 a few hundred times and Ultimate Ninja 2 about 40 times (no exaggeration).
it depends on the genre of the game, as well as the learning curve involved. for example, good luck loading up Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja for your first play through. you'd need to start on normal and build up the skill set to survive.
something like Uncharted, though, is an easier game in general and has a smooth learning curve, so even if you want to bump it up to Hard on your first play through, you won't be banging your head against the wall.
i've gotten 242 stars in SMG2, and i've survived a six star GTAIV wanted level without cheats. i haven't tried the others.
all of those on the list are easy mode compared to stuff like beating Ultimate Ninja 1 or 2 on NGS2 as Ryu.
i also think he's pretty funny. he's not someone i'd want to constantly talk to for hundreds of hours, but he's good for the occasional laugh.
i only needed two reasons for mine: Mario and Zelda.
to this day, Chrono Trigger is still the best JRPG i've ever played.
that was flat out amazing.
from the first time i loaded Skyrim up on my PC, i'v had a 360 controller plugged in. from this perspective, i think the menus are fine. but if i was using a mouse and keyboard, i know i wouldn't be as tolerant, because it definitely wouldn't be friendly.
i do know there's a mod that overhauls the UI for mouse-and-keyboard players, but i haven't tried it out. from the screens, though, it looks like they did a solid job with it.
if Skyrim's DLC is even remotely close to the awesomeness that was The Shivering Isles, then it will be money well spent.
i'm a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, so any new MGS game is a day one purchase for me. the problem with MGS5, though, isn't that MGS4 wrapped up Solid Snake's story, it's that it wrapped up everybody's story, and it wrapped up the series emotionally. we said our goodbyes to Snake and his universe, and there's no NEED to go back. maybe a want, sure, but not a need.
i know they could go back and explore what else happened to The Boss or Big Boss in certain ...
oh man. i saw Arrowsmith and fell in love. that is a must have for me!!
you're right, i should have, but i didn't even think of doing it (still kinda new to PC gaming/modding). there's a new mod, though, called Skyrim 4GB which lets the game use more than 2GB. apparently it's a modified version of the Fallout: New Vegas one. i'm using it now.
the modders have already made Skyrim a better game than it was when it shipped.
so far, i have:
No More Blocky Faces
Detailed Faces
High Quality Eyes
No More Ugly Elves (or something like that, icr exactly what it's called)
Enhanced Blood
i also had Large Address Aware, which allowed the game to use more than 2gb of RAM, but the patch yesterday screwed that up for everybody by changing the TESV.exe file.
being an Indiana resident, i had to lol @ the suggestion.
you're completely right, and i'm not disagreeing with that. i'm not saying Skyrim should be like Dark Souls or something as far as difficulty; what i'm talking about is immersion. when i'm sneaking, i don't feel like an assassin or a thief as much, because the game acts like enemies are blind when you sneak past them, and if you alert them and run away, they contract amnesia and say stuff like, "must have been my imagination," even if you hit them with an arr...
i lol'd.
