Games for Windows Live AND no mods planned? i love From Software--Dark Souls and Demon's Souls are two of my favorite games this gen--but my interest in the PC version of Dark Souls keep dropping. GFWL is bad enough as it is, but one of the things i was looking forward to was custom armor mods, more character customization, more weapon mods, etc. if we can't have those either, then i can't really see myself shelling out more money just for 60fps and a couple new areas.
*raises hand* i played WoW for about 5-6 months, until i experienced all it had and got EXTREMELY bored of it.
also, i would get bored of some garbage like Guitar Hero or Rock Band within seconds.

you're comparing what the Cell did to "any other console games." that's the point, the competition wasn't much. let developers like Naughty Dog or Sony Santa Monica take those games onto a modern day high end PC with the same funding, resources, mocap, etc, and you'll see how shitty the Cell will look in comparison to modern PC hardware. lol.
i didn't know Clockwork did reviews for g4.
i disagree about it being a good action game as a standalone. it's just not a good game period.
i hope this game pushes PC hardware to the limits.

i loved it when i was a kid, but i haven't played it since then. i need to play it again since i still have a Genesis copy.
they have multiple characters already designed and planned, including male characters, but it's really dependent on whether they have the sales and thus the funding to add them as DLC.

when i say they're two of the worst weapons in both games, i mean from a practical standpoint. i'm not talking about enjoyment, because any weapon in the game can be enjoyed once you learn how to use it.
what i mean is that in ANY situation, the talons and scythe get outclassed by almost every weapon. when it comes to fighting bosses, the dual swords, dragon sword, and tonfa reign supreme. when it comes to taking on hoards of enemies, those three weapons plus the luna...
i actually applaud the fact that they're continuing to support the game with FREE DLC. for all the complaining people have done about day one DLC and overpriced DLC, at least Team Ninja is trying to add something to their product at no cost.
my problem, however, is with the weapons they chose. in both Ninja Gaiden 2 and Sigma 2, the Falcon Talons and Scythe are two of the worst weapons in the game. instead of getting something awesome like the tonfa or kusarigama, we get ...
i REALLY hope this game ends up coming to the Xbox 360. not because i'm a single console owner (i'm not) or because i'm some fanboy (not that either). it's not even because i want more people to be able to play it.

on topic: i'm also not ready for next gen consoles either, unless they can provide a major leap in gameplay. i don't care about a graphics leap, because i have a PC that can max anything out right now, and i can upgrade it when necessary. so unless consoles are going to do more important things than upgrade the graphics, then they can hold on for a couple more year...
The Witcher 2 is a flat out amazing RPG experience. i highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it yet.

i can't believe you got disagrees for that. lol. Killzone 2 is a grapically impressive game as far as consoles go (haven't played 3 yet even though i have it), but both Crysis 1 and 2 on PC blow it out of the water. it's not even remotely close in any way, shape or form. unless people like blurry textures, jaggies, and all that jazz.
the only game i've played that's comparable to the Crysis games as far as graphics is the Witcher 2 on PC.
