Am I the only one that noticed they confirmed dedicated servers? Unless I'm late to the party, I think that's news in itself. Can't wait for this game!
Technically, you could max out just about any system with bad enough code. The point is that we're talking about launch titles. Yeah, they're pushing the systems to their limits, but they're doing this in a manner that is very inefficient compared to what they will be doing this time next year, and the year after that, etc.
Strictly speaking, they may be telling the truth. However, optimizations will be made, the engine refined. I've been very critical of this title, but am under no illusions; Forza 6 will destroy this graphically.
What part of cross-gen launch title are you not able to understand?
Have fun playing the version that doesn't currently use shadow maps.

The X1 version doesn't even have shadows.

Once again, others have said the PS4 was fine. One article proves nothing. Having said that, at least the PS4 version has shadows, which is more than I can say for the X1.

You're lack of understanding is appalling. One bad preview doesn't mean that he hasn't seen others that were positive. Idiot.
Terrible camera work, but the game doesn't seem all that bad.

The lighting is overdone, and despite was Ohlmay says, it is pre-baked. The problem people seem to be having is that Turn 10 love setting the sun at eye level with the player. It makes for good screenshots, but it's annoying as hell during gameplay, especially since the lighting isn't dynamic and will be that way, every single lap you ever do.
Edit: Oh, and the reflections are also a bit annoying, as Turn 10 are using the screen-space method. It's a cheap solutio...
I'm waiting and hoping for next-gen versions of both GTA 5 and DS2. All I care for is better frame rates and draw distances. GTA 5 especially looks like it could benefit from more memory to cure that texture pop-in.
Someone doesn't think you actually like what you said you like.
Yep, I actually watched more than a few seconds of it and saw the part in which he moved the controller. Still, you are a cunt for questioning my intelligence just because I didn't feel like watching 12 minutes of off-screen footage and noticed on the starting frame that there was a green light on the player's index finger that matched the green light on the screen. In short, go fuck yourself, you illiterate retard.
Edit:
Scott- Not really. Just had a shit da...
You're wrong. The same light that is on the screen is also on his fingers at the front of the controller. It's the controller, just get over it and either sit far away when you game, or invest in some electrical tape. Not that big of a deal, but I hope most devs give us the option to turn it off.
To clarify, the green light is from the DS4 (which can display blue, red, green, and pink), the blue light is, as you said, probably a result of poorly planned lighting.
Zele- BF4 doesn't run at 720p on PS4. This issue was clarified long ago, so either you're lying or misinformed and acting like you know what you're talking about, which is just as pathetic.
A large chunk of that money is spent on R&D. Valve knows PC hardware pretty well by now, and will most likely have several options available. Also, if you really believe that MS spent one billion on Kinect, then you also probably believe that they spent the same amount on their new controller. What this means is either you're incredibly gullible, or MS has horrible engineers. Either way, Valve can put together a machine with some serious power that would compete with consoles. Especia...
Ha! Name one of these supposed bottlenecks. If anything, the X1 with its complicated memory system that requires manual fill and flush of eSRAM will have more bottlenecks than a machine with a more powerfull GPU, more pipelines and a unified memory pool.

Good job linking to a post from May of 2009 that discusses Killzone 2 and not Shadow Fall. Jackass.
