It's not all that absurd when the content is sitting on a server instead of in a plane or on a truck. And no, they never made any guarantees about similarity in content, but such a thing is implied when everyone is paying for the same service. I understand both sides, but to say it's absurd is just foolish.
"For all of you so called gamers out there, you should have been had the majority of these games in the first place before they ever even reached Playstation...
Which was never a contender in the shooter category. It worked in past games because the nature of it added to the tension, which is now gone due to the environment and level design. The mummified necromorphs aren't especially terrifying and I can't imagine facing foes that are armed with weapons themselves will do anything for the horror.
The series has become more action oriented but it doesn't have the mechanics to make that an enjoyable experience.

"Sony is NO stranger to backlash. They released a $600 console with a crap online suite, then took away backwards compatibility in future models. Not to mention allowing PSN to be hacked and waiting nearly week to tell consumers that their info was compromised."
These are the kind of mistakes any intelligent person would like to avoid. Sony isn't in the same position it was going into this generation and can't afford to keep engaging in stupidity. Also, tryi...
Logic-
I highly doubt that they would bring investors in to talk about software that is either about to release or is well into development. And they certainly wouldn't do so to talk about firmware updates involving Gaikai or Vita integration.
This whole event reminds me of the PS2 unveil back in March of '99. They showed off their hardware to kill Sega's momentum with the Dreamcast and reduced their competition by one. Now, with the Wii U struggling, it does seem ...
"The people created that PS4 hype, not Sony."
It's the presence of investors at the event that caused the hype. Said investors were invited by Sony. So yeah, it was Sony.
This is bad news for anyone involved with the game, as the demo was awful. Complete lack of tension and the action is standard fare. Loved the first two, but doubt this will even get a rent.
If you think that, then you don't know how to read the specs. Provided the VGleaks specs are accurate, PS4 will destroy Wii U in the horsepower department.

In regard to the new game by Monolith, there's a thread over at NeoGAF that points out the low poly environment, canned shadows, PS2-era effects and sprite based foliage. It does look great, but your post uses hyperbole and sarcasm to showcase your own ignorance on the subject. Relative to the current generation of consoles, the Wii U is as Bumpmapping described it. Mind you, the Xeno game mentioned above, the Wind Waker remake and full-on Wii U Zelda game ha...
"Guarantee I got disagrees for Lightning Returns..."
Ha! I thought the same thing. Just so you know, I didn't give you one. Couldn't care less about the games you like, actually. You enjoy your games, I'll do the same with mine.
I'm really hoping DS2 comes to PS4/720 in addition to their predecessors. Even if it's just a resolution and framerate upgrade, I'd be pretty happy.
I thought the last interview that the producer of DS2 gave put significant doubt on the game making a 2013 release?
Edit: Never mind. I actually read the article and it seems the author is also unsure of a release this year.
"There are better open world games with RPG elements (Saints Row The Third, Dead Island)..."
You have got to be kidding me! Saints Row 3 was one of the most shallow experiences I've had this gen. I also like how he complains about the fact that the game gives you a choice in regard to travel. Hey moron, you don't have to use the fast travel function if you don't want. Myself, I only used it on the rare occasion I was in a hurry. Other than that, I simpl...
"Pretending like the fact that we don't have guns makes the crime rate higher is ridiculous and it's just an attempt at getting support from people who don't know what they're talking about."
Ridiculous statement proven wrong by history and common sense. The simple fact is that most people want to be good and live what they would consider to be a normal life. But, you are always going to have another element of society, composed of the disenfranchised and the...

Ironic name for someone who only seems to deal in half truths. Yes, Britain does have less gun violence, because there aren't any guns. But, they also experience more overall violent crime, because there are no guns and people aren't able to defend themselves. In fact, with the exception of Australia, Britain has a higher violent crime rate than any other rich nation. Criminals know its citizens are helpless and simply choose to use other means to prey ...

Wasn't the Skyrim engine made with next gen in mind though? Anyway, if they stick to the release schedule from Fallout 3 to Skyrim, then we should see this new game by late 2014. To me, that says it probably won't be made for current tech. I have no idea how big the Bethesda team is these days, but developing their first game for new systems seems like it might eat up most - if not all - of their resources. Whatever the case, I really hope it's Fallout 4. I ...
I'm guessing that that's with 4gb of ram. The difference should be more noticeable if they go to 8.
I'm going to take absolutely no risk whatsover by agreeing with all of you. I played the shit out of Demon's Souls and loved every minute of it. Dark Souls, while good, never gave me the same feeling.
For me the best part was the mention of a return to a handling model more like Killzone 2 coupled with the precision of the third game. I'm sold.
What a terrible article.
The GT series is actually my favorite but, I've grown accustomed to the cockpit view and consider it a requirement. In GT5 I consistently avoided the cars that didn't have a cockpit view. The thing that really annoys me about Gran Turismo is that they don't even give you a hood view, relying instead on the roof camera which is not fun at all.
Look, I said I understood both sides. I understand that no promises were made and that there is an approval process to be mindful of, but to compare cultural differences at a McDonalds is ridiculous. Different stores have different policies and even chains will observe this behavior across regions and certainly in different countries. That these stores are affected by cultural norms has very little effect on a digital product. The only two things holding it back are popularity and the legal p...
