No. We are not. Think about the value of the dollar o Rte euro 6 years ago. Essentially today, we are paying less than wrong did back then. Companies are now finding other ways to compensate, ie. Dlc. It is supply and demand. If u want the game as soon as it releases, u pay more. It's the same with everything. Yes, prices do drop for some games really quickly. This is why, as consumers we have a responsibility to be smart when we shop. We affect pricing also. If u have patience, u can gam...

That would be cool. But i have this idea that they were gonna do that anyway. But adding more content post cataclysmic event downtown mean that we got shafted on the ending. There were three very different endings covering most possibilities. SPOILER!!!!! My goodness , u can destroy the reapers and live through it. What more can u ask for. I just think that it's hard to accept the end of such a great trilogy without the one hours lord of the rings closure. But maybe they meant to do it an...

I don't get it. So, ur problem is with the lack of footage post ending. Spoiler!!!!!!!!! Had they shown exactly how the three drastically different choices affected the world post choice, it would have been fine? And like i wrote, ur issue wasn't with the endings themselves but the fact that they allowed u to chose. U would have been fine with the illusion that ur choices are what affected the ending. For example, Continued Spoiler!!!!!, if u saved the council, everyone survive the ...

Ok. So i must be stupod because i just beat it and i don't understand what's wrong with it. Is it because we were given choices instead of having it decided by the choices we made already. For example, instead of having 3 paths, if u destroyed the geth, u automatically choose the right path. Or if ur renegade is high the left etc, etc. How many other options are there? Did people not like the death of a particular character, who lives in one ending. Or was it all of it? Did they want...

I agree. I love reading low score reviews, especially for widely acclaimed games. As long as it is thoughtful and makes sense, it gives another perspective. Maybe there is someone out there who may not like the type of game being reviewed but would never hear it from most reviewers. That being said, i think he is crazy& in today's day and age u will never be able to convince someone u did it honestly and not to get hits. Hits may not pay him, but thevtruth is that the more people tha...

Ok. So bioware isn't perfect, but cmon. Get over it. If i wanted to take the time, i could list 100 examples of being lied to. The only reason u care so much is because u loved the job they did for 2 3/4. U loved it so much that it broke ur heart. Don't get all high and mighty and act like u would not have bought the game if they had said, "maybe ur choices will matter, maybe they won't."

It may not be perfect, they may have made a comment, they may hav...

You are right. It sounds like a case of a bunch od cod players on xbox. That won't last forever. Though, i guess if cod caused millions to become xbox fans, it was worth it for microsoft to put a premium on online and the call of duty brand.

Anyway, next gen I'll be judged by what it is...and isn't.

For the life of me, i can't understand how bioware missed an obvious ending that would have please everyone. It isn't specific, but here's an idea. Tease another game, whether u make it or not. And not necessarily a game with shepherd. How about the cycle is apparently ended but u must chose whether or not to sacrifice earth to save the rest of the galaxy. U side with illusive man, and earth dominates the next cycle, or u save the rest of the galaxy and earth starts at the back of...

I know what yoir problem is and it is unavoidable. First, though, i wonder if all the talk about the ending has had an impact on your journey. You may not know what it is, but you know that fellow hardcore gamers that love mass effect were heart broken by the ending. It has to have an impact on everyone's journey who has yet to finish it.

But, here's the real reason. There are no more games. While playing the first two, you know that every decision is going to impact ...

U r right that no one will say it's bad, otherwise who cares about an ending for a bad game. It would b nice if some of them would say something nice about the game and not just harp on the ending; and yes i understand that it leaves a bad taste and warps ur view as a whole.

I'm pretty sure most reviewers didn't see the ending and make a pact not to enlighten anyone, to keep it a secret. It's an ending to a trilogy. No one was even going to make reference to ...

I think we live in a time of scarce original ips, sequel after sequel, with a few games garnering most of the attention. Couple that with an exponential increase in technology and reviews become extremely difficult. Do u compare a sequel to it's predecessor or other games out now? What if there r none like it? What if it is extremely popular. Did it use the tech available in the right way. Is it held back by dying consoles? Is it so popular that u must overlook some flaws. Is it alot of f...

It's just my opinion, but when i think back to infamous, it just isn't as powerful as i would have liked because in my mind, it's sits divided, separated into two very diverse endings. I will say that mass effect is different in that at least knew playthrough, for most, is very personal, and will probably be the ending that would stick out to most. I just hate thinking back on a game and knowing that shepherd is $%&# or living on a wine vinyard in france with ashley, as if it ...

I think they will walk a fine line. They may add content concerning post activities, but not actually change the ending. I dunno, i thought after mass effect 2 it would b brilliant to say that all journey or roads will b drastically different but will ultimately end the same. It is philisophical in own right but also, u can't have multiple endings to finish a game like this. U get multiple endings in 1&2 because they are choices that affect 3. No matter what u do in 3, there is no mor...

Great post, great post above and great article. It only proves how much they loved the game. Unfortunately, this was a case of art over profit, and art got crushed. So, expect corporate to b making decisions from now on.

This is brilliant both gameplay wise and financially. It is the ultimate prestige or perk mode. It will keep people playing much longer if u can build a dynasty. I love it. I guess bioware isn't all bad, lol.

I say let the ending stay. But, if they are gonna remake it, how about this. U can choose to save earth or the rest of the uniberse based on ur score, but instead of simply sacrificing urself, u sacrifice earth.

U know what's funny, ken levine doesn't even let anyway read the story or know what's going to happen in bioshock so that they can get a good perspective. I imagine that he will listen to input, but some people love their project so much and are so sure of their abilities that they are ultimately going to do what they want.

What saddens me the most is that if this forces bioware to change the ending and give it out for free, EA is gonna be pissed. And we can say...

It never ends. They must have been sitting in their oofice thinking, "man, I'm so bored. What could i do to help parents in this country. We have fixed everything else...oh, wait, vidoe game violence."

IT'S also quite interesting because the studies are not what i would determine to be conclusive, or absolute fact, but good enough to help subdue the one industry that isn't a financial disaster right now. Thanks guys, and when u r done, can u work on the ...

I didn't want them to change the ending but now i do. I want them to keep track of who they refunded to and charge them $200 for the game when they attempt to repurchase it. And they will because they love the game.
