PC is the best. Everyone complained when no one could play crysis, now everyone complains because it looks great but isn't a Juggernaut melting processors. Consider this, crytek was able to create one of the best looking console games ever, and PC is clearly better. Would u all have been happier if the consoles just didn't look as good...most likely. It had elements that were phenomonal, ie. the combat was excellent, especially if u aimed for the platinum. The graphics were top notch, but what were they thinking creating a linear RPG. I am excited for a sequel in one sense, make the whole game just like it was after u beat it. Once u beat the game and then started collecting everything and grinding to get strong enough to take down the turtles, that was classic final fantasy. Do it all like that.
U r right, bungie is a top notch company and I don't blame them for making halo games. We have to remember that at the end of the day, it is about making money. Crysis 2 is a better overall game than halo. It did what it should have and upped the ante. The multiplayer is great but could learn a few things from bungie. However, as w so many games today, halo has 1 distinct advantage. It defined its universe early on in a way that is generally reserved for bioware games, lol. Killzine is a prime example. K2 plat to this day is my crowning achievement, or trophy, lol. 8 straight hours to beat the balcony before radec. Also, the timed challenge room on arkham asylumn was a bitch.
I guess if u go into looking for flaws, u can make them outweigh the pros that make this game a Juggernaut. Ill admit that sp story was uninspired but the MP is astonishingly good. Also, check ur controller settings if u don't like them, they pretty much allow u to change everything. I just wish ppl were as willing to find the obvious flaws in cod or halo. I would say I owe them an apology but my critique wasn't of the sp, which is the demo they should have released, unless they wanted us obsessing over it...mission accomplished. Anyway, we have to wait and see if it translates to MP. Then I will appologize. But, good job crytek.
Ok. I believe you. But, while the sp is 8-10 hours, it is MP where we all spend our time and unless the final version for both Xbox and ps3 looks alot different, k3 still has better MP graphics, running at a constant 30 fps. My hats go off to crytek and i cannot wait to get the game tonight, but from playing both demos, I'm not buying it to replace my MP gaming right now. I hope i am wrong.
I will admit that Xbox live is a premium service and I wish ps3 would offer a platinum account for $50 that allows hardcore fps everyday online gamers more bandwidth or whatever. That being said, in reference to black ops,homefront and many others, i believe that the issue is 75% the Creator. Killzone 3 learned from what it did in 2 and in my opinion there are few if any issues...connection wise. Do not get ur hopes up. The ps3 version has more to do w how much time was spent and how well they knew the hardware. It could have been much better on the ps3. Consider this though. Crytek releases a ps3 version that bears simialar resemblance to the PC. What would Xbox gamers and PC gamers think or do or say. Remember, they make up the majority of fps gamers. People may argue but its a fact that k3 looks better in multiplayer. It has been stated that crysis 2 single player is better than MP graphically so i will wait and see but i doubt it. Is there no damned happy medium? Killzone 2 was closer than killzone 3 because I'd love to b still chasing something. Though the top 1% was a little too much. From other comments, there is something to the fact that the ps3 looks to render its graphics more like the PC than the Xbox. Maybe they are right and the Xbox simply uses darker contrasts. Here's to hoping they used playstations power.
