Honestly it looks like Ghosts borrowed a bunch from black ops 2 like the pick 10...which was a big innovation. The drones are back too. It actually made me wonder if Activision would give Treyarch...the new big brothers...the Modern Warfare moniker to work with. It may be the next truely next gen CoD. They have basically worked on a bunch of different games from WaW to black ops 2. It isn't crazy and it could work.
Ditto. I will love this. Its great that some games don't try to be AAA and fall into the trap of adding gameplay that isn't needed in order to sell more copies. Cant wait!!!
Hate to say it, but it looks like they have brilliantly walked a fine line...and will once again deliver the king of fps games to the public. It isn't genre defining like CoD4 but it will be loved. I am just happy to see others moving the genre forward with Battlefield 4, Titanfall and Destiny. CoD may reign supreme again but it isn't getting any easier for them to stay at the top.
I can't tame it...it will b so long before this arrives...i can't wait to see what an open world rpg with an actual story looks like.
I can't wait. I am a hardcore console gamer and I was very happy to c this come to ps3. It is wierd too b/c ai have played afew games on pc and it feels very strange using a mouse and keyboard. In a way, sometimes it almost pulls u out of the experience, as if u actually control much less of what is happening. For fps games, I almost feel like I am cheating somehow.
I have insane memories of this game...love/haye for sure. I played with 2 other friends and on one of the final missions, I died just before it ended and it disnt count. Yeah, if it weren't for a glitch I would have had to do it all over by myself on hard.
It may point to which console sells better at launch but most hardcore console gamers will eventually get both, especially at the price. I plan on getting the ps4 at launch b/c of various reasons. But I will get the xbox1 early next yr sometime, as soon as as something releases that I must play. Many may do the opposite too.
This is bold. I love the leveling. Instead of focusing on numbers, they focus on tasks. You get more powerful by completing tasks. The weapon idea reminds me of dark souls. There are many weapons that can be used but each one has different abilities that are better in different situations...more strategy and skill than raw numbers.
I am so excited for this gen b/c we may finally get what we want. I lved Dragons Dogma's combat, party dynamic and loot fest...especially end game and dlc content. But its limited. We need an open world sp/mmo hybrid with a great story, real combat with loot grinding, customization and specializations for unique play and the ability to group up with others and make ur mark. This might be one of those games...I am very excited!!!
Yeah...lost planet 2, its replayability and co op with friends was epic. They ditched all that! It won't sell at all, especially with spliner cell and xcom coming before...and diablo and gta coming after. I will probably still b playing xillia but I am excited for xcom and its ME style combat. And splinter cell looks really good. I am sad about LP3 but I hope it does well.
So, in like 2 yrs we will get some info on how great it is. Then we may see something 2 yrs later, ppl will criticize some aspects of it. Carmack will flip out, then apologize and tell us why we just are not smart enough to understand his vision. Then....
I actually do have high hopes for the OR and on paper this should work out. And they obviously would never tell him no. They are probably enamored by his presence. Let's just hope this has a happy, affordable ending!
The ps4 may help especially with a bundle. People disagree but if the consumer base is bigger, more developers will spend money to make or port games to it. And no games r better for portable gaming than jrpgs like Persona 4. They r perfect for on the go. The graphics don't take a hit, u can grind or play a bit and save. Also, cross-play would be huge. Sell both for $80-90 or create a program for everyone with a ps4 and vita.

I have more faith in Valve than almost anyone else, but they may have bit off more than they can chew here. Yeah, the orange box released early on this gen to critical acclaim and they were smart to capitalize on Portal and Left 4 Dead. But, like Irrational with Bioshock, even more so, the expectations are beyond absurd. Not only will they b using new hardware but they havnt released a half life in a long time and the landscape has changed dramatically.

Seeing tgis and the Elder Scrolls online got me to thinking. I am playing the Dark Arisen expansion and I think Dragons Dogma could b one of the best mmo's. I do think this and ESO r gonna b fresh looks, but the combat in DD is unbelievable and I almost play it like an mmo anyway, grinding loot with 3 pawns.
Is it? How many r launch titles and how many come next yr some time? This yr will b about CoD, B4, Watch Dogs, Infamous, Killzone etc.
Will I buy and xbox1? Yeah...but not at launch. I will spend $400 & sometime next yr, I will grab the new xbox for $500. And I think many will do the same. There is loyalty but they aren't real expensive and I think most hardcore gamers and many in general have gotten used to having both. Titanfall itself is a reason to get the xbox......
I have wondered for sooo long why developers didnt extend replayablity with weather and day/night cycles. Also, u can take the same map and hav it change a lot just by changing a few things. Imagine 8 maps that each play 10 different ways. I have little hope for the sp but the mp could be fresh enough with the graphics and dynamic maps. Hell, everyone still plays it though there's been little real change since mw and mw2
I am not a huge CoD fan but it has been hard to deny its popularity and success. That being said, after seeing the sp demo, this is not CoD4, just a prettier MW3. With many pretty next gen games coming, this may b the last super successful CoD game. Great games for sure. I hav to admit though that I am waiting for the games that launch next gen. There r enough to keep me interested til then. And I will b keeping my ps3 for beond and dark souls 2.
