So, I always play online. It seems it would be no big deal. In 1 week I am going to california for 2 weeks to see my grandparents. I always bring my xbox or ps3 for downtime. They own 100 acre ranch in the mountains. Problem is that the only internet they hav is dial up or a capped satellite. Thus I have no way to play online. Last time I played dragon age and it was no big deal. I amnplaying dark souls now and am gonna hav to play a bit offline.

I personally would love it next gen with the many interactive and social additions. But I will play it anywhere.

Exactly...no games...no investment. But its a catch 22. Release black ops 2, no one buys it so they won't realease next cod on it. Not only did they choose to release a console that is only slightly more powerful than this gen, they did so without standout launch titles. I agree but why can't they do both. It may hurt them b/c if its this gen only many may simply want to go next gen. If not, its gonna hurt sony and MS that a game like this would hold ppl back. I am very surprised that MS didn't pay activision to ensure a next gen iteration also.

Yeah because they are not released when they are done and stamped with everyone's approval. They are done when money runs out and they need to recoup some of it. Its too bad but this can happen when u make a reboot of a game that was a critical hit.
Also there are many questions. When did it become next gen? What dev kit are they using. Is the modified engine too messed up? Why not convert to unreal engine 4?

There's supposed to be dynamic startup screens like breaking through a wall or jumping from a helo. Also dolphin diving is gone and replaced by some type of dodge mechanic. U can peek around corners too. There's supposed to ne limited destruction.

For some reason I see battlefield exclusivity coming to xbox. Now, I know they had been aligned with PS before but I think it may happen. As far as CoD goes, I dunno. Activision seemed to be supporting the ps4 so it may get interesting. But they need a few big exclusives not just sequels.
I do forsee a lot of this gens best games being remade for next gen. I can definitely see this one happening...no more worry about memory issues freezing ur game 180 hrs in.
Yeah wow...saw a couple others that said it was alright with some good moments but this is terrible. I probably wouldn't hav played it if someone gave it to me but a lot of ppl love star trek. I do too but I want a real good next generation game.

Maybe I am an idiot as I just started playing dark souls and don't know much. I did beat Capra in 4 tries...yeah for me. Anyway, I was a little worried about invasions and online play because its late in the game life and I was afraid everyone would be jacked and murder me. First, its only happened 2 x I think. But, didn't dark souls provide a way to play online without being invaded already? Isn't it called being hollow? I just imagined that they discussed how absurd it could get...
They already had great additional content with challenge rooms etc. This stinks of another cash grab. Half the game is set in Arkham City already. I am sure it will be good b/c Rocksteady built a gem. But this is definitely an opportunity to use a successful IP to get some revenue. And mp is the proof. Just look at GoW ascension. That company has never failed at anything. They put focus on multiplayer and it bombs. Tomb raider, good game, multiplayer is generic amd all the dlc, prescious time...

I don't blame Activision for anything they do. What they have done is sell a bazillion copies of an IP to gamers worldwide. Why invest in anything new if its still making money. I guess they feel that now is the time to move ahead with next gen coming.
