I don't understand how people can defend blocking used games. They would be limiting consumer choice which in turn is anti-consumer. It's plain and simple that anti-consumer is not good business.
This is the stuff that happens when the suits are given too much control in the Xbox division. They are blinded by greed and make stupid choices that ruin the brand.
If and when Microsoft implements DRM/always connected, its going to be a train wreck of epic proportions. It will be entertaining to say the least how they back pedal or try to spin this as a good thing fresh off the Simcity disaster. The next few months will be entertaining!
One last bit of info for me to completely jump ship with Microsoft is BC and the lack thereof. If they don't have it it's the PS4 right next to my 360.
This just in, PS4 pre orders skyrocket.
I like the idea of always on if they use it as a server to stream content to your phone/tablet even when it's in a low power state. Or to use your phone to start a download while you are on the go. If they are using it as a DRM measure, they can go F*** themselves.
I am pretty sure they were just replacing my Xbox with "refurbished" previously RROD consoles. One literally broke a few days after receiving it. I did not pay any additional fees though, which if I had I would have immediately switched to the PS3.
Why would you hope for Gold being $100? I don't understand this.
Well they replaced 4 of my RROD 360's for me for free. That is sort of a back handed friendship.
Bungie is one company I would trust with the online capabilities. All of the Halo titles ran flawlessly online.
Old rumors at that. Vgleaks is using a spec sheet that leaked a year ago. Things may have changed since then and Microsoft is on lockdown hence why they are recycling the spec sheet for website hits. I really think we will have to wait till April to find out. Microsot is notorious for keeping things unknown if they want to. Just look at the Surface as an example.
Blasphemous! How dare you post this on N4G. Don't you know it's for PS fanboys.
I think there might be a translation error from revealing/unveiling to launching.
This is such BS its actually kind of funny. Microsoft watched as Sony made this mistake with the release of the PS3. Does anyone with a shred of logic think that they would follow such a massive blunder and release a $600 console.
I am fine with the Xbox having entertainment apps and TV as long as Microsoft knows that they have to satisfy the core with exclusives and new IPs. They also need to step up their live gold teir to dare I say it, PS Plus levels and offer free games and other benefits.
Japan is done. All they care about now are mobile games. The developers besides some are stuck in the past.
@a_squirrel Software is where these companies make their money so yes it is important. Xbox has always had a higher software attach rate so Microsoft has made more money.
Whoa, in what parallel universe did Alan Wake go multiplatform. Unless you are talking PC in which case that doesn't count because there is Halo and Gears on PC.
It's more than just "textures". Pretty much all of the information will be funneled through the RAM include physics info and OS functions.
Now the tin foil hat people are jumping on the Durango rumor bandwagon.
