People on here really need to look at what the specs really mean. The Xbox has 12 CUs compared to 18 CUs in the PS4 on the GPU. This is combined with a unified pool of RAM its undeniable that the PS4 will perform better and is easier to develop for. All the mumbo jumbo about the cloud is marketing speak that fanboys have been eagerly spoon fed. It comes down to the games and how well they are optimized and at this point the PS4 has the lead.

Dead Rising 3 on the other hand is being published by MS, so I doubt PS4 will get that game. Maybe Dead Rising 4.

We are talking about EA here. The game WILL be coming to PS4. The reason behing all the word play is because they have been money hatted by MS. We have seen the same thing countless times. Look at the announcement of Diablo 3, it was only unveiled as a PS4/PS3 exclusive until recently we found out its also coming to Xbox.

I can't knock it because it's free but this happens all the time with games that require you to connect to their servers. How arrogant is MS to think that this would work for an entire system.

Well Fox news are the ones that sensationalize most video game stories. Remember the Mass Effect sex scene? They were the only ones talking about it.

100 is average. Fox news anchors average around 85. Watching Fox News for 5 minutes or more reduces your IQ by 1 per additional minute.

"throw out out your cell phone and pc if your that worried it, companies have been doing this for years its nothing new". Oh ok, so we should all just accept it because it has been going on for years. You sir, are the biggest tool and are part of the problem. Please remove yourself from society.

@mystogan PS + plus planetside 2, warframe, DC universe. I'm sure I am missing some as well.

Wow. I love how all these people are coming out of the woodwork to defend it now. Where we're your balls the last few weeks when their policies were universally derided? This is good news because consumer rights was protected. MS didn't have to get rid of the family share but they did as an F you to the gamers because they now have egg on their face.

Flip floppers everywhere today.

The point that none of these executives are bringing up is that if a game is digital it SHOULD be cheaper than a retail disc. People would be much more receptive to this. It amazes me to this day the pricing structure on both PSN and Live. Until their act together Steam is the de facto platform for digital.

@Kingthrash I meant the GOTY more as the game with all of the included map packs that they be nickle and diming us with.

4598d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah it was confirmed by an insider that a money hat was given for a year exclusivity. It was speculated that it was $50 million for that. So I figure it has to be around $100 -$200 million more to keep it on Xbox. I think we will see a GOTY addition on PS4

Never thought I would see someone defending MS draconian anti-consumer practices. When is it ever a good idea to give up your choice and freedom. You bought the game, it's yours. Sony could have easily gone the same route (they have the patent for a RF chip in the disc) but they didn't because they realized that the consumer's trust is far more profitable than bending to the will of the publishers.

If anyone is interested in going in to PR, this will be used as a classic case of what not to do when launching a product. MS is in full tilt damage control right now, and what a show it is! seriously though how is their any benefit to DRM with consumers if the games are still going to cost $60! Should we be thankful that MS didn't raise the price to $80.

No, we know one is more powerful because of these things called facts. What the dev is saying is that they program to the lowest common denominator.

4598d ago 2 agree4 disagreeView comment

Whatever, the best way anyone can tell MS where to shove it is to buy a PS4. The company can give 2 shits that there are gamers whining on their Facebook page. It's when they have to explain to their investors why they are being trounced by Sony, then they will be sweating.

If I am spending $400 - $500 on a new console, I expect some damn good graphics.

@darkride and septic, MS had the leverage with the install base to enforce those multiplatform stipulations. There is no way a 3rd party would risk losing that money especially with the 360's software attach rate. Now the situation is set to zero and with pre orders favoring PS4, publishers might not make that agreement with MS.

This situation is a double edged sword. In one way, I want MS to succeed because it will push innovation and competition. On the other hand if they are too successful, it just reinforces their bad business practices and they think they can get away with it. I worry the casuals will buy into this but I think the $100 is much more important to them.
