This is kind of sad this generation. I was really looking forward to see the fanboy fights and meltdowns. It was heating up right before the Xbone reveal and then MS convinced and converted most of their install base to go with Playstation after the reveal and E3. It's too early to tell but it looks like the PS2 vs Xbox vs GameCube generation all over again.

It's official, Microsoft has become the arrogant company that Sony was at the beginning of this gen. I guess we will see them become competitive again next gen after the humbling they are going to get.

Even though this post is fake, the argument that without used games the retail price will drop is suspect. How are we supposed to believe that when MS still sells 4 year old games at $40 on Games on Demand. Their pricing is ridiculous! Trust me, MS will not be doing us any favors when they get rid of the only "competition" pricing-wise.
That's true and MS might throw them a money hat but looking at the PS4 pre-order numbers, EA would be stupid to not bring a GOTY edition out after the 1 year is up.
A commenter on Neogaf who predicted alot of what was shown at the E3 Xbox presser said 2 things: 1) Titan fall is a timed exclusive and 2) the DRM is a lot worse than what MS is showing. This could be it.
Edit: he said alot more than 2 things, but those were my 2 important takeaways.

How is it a PR stunt if they are actually going to follow through with the policies? Yes it was a little grandiose and a pimp slap to MS but you could argue that the whole of E3 is one big PR stunt.
Seriously. The guy that leaked the NSA documents posted in Ars Technical well before all this that the NSA considered the Xbox 360 a likely candidate for surveillance.
Seems weird they would release it Thanksgiving week. I would have thought at least the week before so they could ramp up marketing before Black Friday.
This is all marketing hyperbole from both companies. The cloud improving graphics and performance is just not feasible until next next gen and then at that point we will we see things like "game requires 8-10 Mbps". I sometimes have problems at work streaming Gmusic on a T1 connection.

A year or two from now we will really see the difference that the GDDR5 RAM and the better GPU can do in multiplatform games. The cloud won't save MS then.
