First off let's address the smoking you mention. It IS bad for you yes, but they do get a bit of a harsher wrap than they deserve. For instance, with all those "Truth" commercials (overexagerating much like the pot commercials), not to mention anytime anybody dies for any cause, so long as they smoke, cigarettes are given the blame for it usually. That being said, yes they're bad, of course, that's common sense, but some groups go overboard with that stuff. And of course, yes, they'...

funny that you mention "empty hype" and natal in the same rant.

That said i have nothing but the utmost respect and faith in Sony's 1st party developers, as they keep proving themselves time and time again, one after the other. Sony really is looking to empty my wallet out lol

very true. in fact, for me, i think the two games coming this year (that we know are coming) that appear like they'd be the most fun for me are Uncharted 2 and Conviction. unfortunately though i won't be playing Conviction (as i refuse to buy MS products to voice my opinion as a consumer), though i do think at some point down the line we'll be getting Conviction over on the PS3 side too. next year sometime. but yea those two looked to me like the two i'd most like to play that i know are comi...

i totally agree. and the saddest thing of all? MS is going to slide on this one. the media and consumers are going to, yet again, give them a pass on these shady business tactics and MS will continue to thrive without feeling the slightest backlash for their tactics. when they should have been sent to the gallows long ago and should not be a prospering business with their history of shady tactics and shoddy products.

i can't wait either. this game could quite possibly revolutionize things i think. i'm tired of all that chaotic, mindless deathmatch stuff. and seems zipper is seconding my sentiment with the very idea of this game. if they pull this off (and yes i realize there is room for error, not to mention, even if they do it perfect it still needs to gather that attention and following to get off to a good start), then yes, this could change the face of online gaming to degrees.

"It's ok not to like the 360, but what's wrong with liking it's games?"

This is the perfect comment to sum up my beliefs on the whole "console war" thing really. I hate Microsoft, with a passion. And i'm not going to apologize for it even the slightest. Hell, i think if most people actually read up on them and remember their history, they should rightfully hate them too. But that aside, just because i hate MS and thus don't give a crap about xbox360 (because i...

are you really that ignorant that you believe that? atheists have killed more than christians? first off, atheism isn't even a principle or belief, so nobody gets killed in the name of atheism. and religion (christianity the bigger portion) is like one of the leading causes of death in history. The crusades, the witch hunts/trials, not to mention all the wars that have been started in the name of religion (hell we're involved in a religious war right now), etc etc. I'd venture to say atheism ...

There's nothing wrong with the "thou shalt not kill/thou shalt not steal" type rules that are presented in the bible (btw, these didn't originate in the bible, they just were integrated in there from outside rules). On that note, the theory of Santa Claus also teaches us to be good, lest we won't get special gift from Santa (sound familiar?). But it would be detrimental and a serious hindrance to society if we all still believed in fairy tales like that. Gott ist tot. read some Niet...

I'm of the same frame of mind as some of the others. It wouldn't at all surprise me if other games were shown off on PC instead of 360. I'm betting MS does this alot. (I'm still not getting all the hype about alan wake like it's the greatest graphics ever, cause the couple gameplay screens they showed were far less appealing than the cgi parts, though the lighting was good).

And also, i'm sorry, but as far as I've seen bethesda has made nothing that was a graphical powerhouse an...

i know you aren't trying to justify this and sympathize with these guys. first off, this is a category B prison which means these guys are in for serious offenses. meaning that if life in there is rough and stressful for them, so be it. they messed up, they have to take that risk in order to earn their second chance. i'm all for them getting a second chance, but they gotta earn it and if that means a risk to them, sobeit, they made their choices and they knew the consequences. i mean really y...

i do too. though i am waiting for certain side of people coming out of the woodworks with "omg this owns kratos" claims. and of course the other side completely downplaying this game (if it is good) because already this game is living in GOW's shadow and isn't given the chance to stand on its own two feet and get by on its own merits. But yea, i'm really interested in seeing more on this game. hope they do dante justice with this game and don't completely bastardize his work.

Here's what i don't get: People getting over excited for cgi trailers. and then going on to say these games look the best based on said trailers. that's laughable. come on i have to have some gameplay footage before i'm forming an opinion. For instance, i keep hearing stuff like "Mass Effect 2" blows everything away. but as far as i remember, i never saw one thing of actual gameplay. the closest we got was the lil "interactive cutscenes". which is a bit funny when fanboys ...

don't go spilling water on him either Kanji.

and i agree seraphim, i'm a bit worried about pricing here myself. i think i do plan on getting this game just because....come on, who could pass up at least giving this a try. but the pricing might put me off. i was thinking more like psn title prices for this. though i will need to buy the package with the eyetoy, i still hope they're not trying to bring this 'game' out at the $60 mark or i might unfortunately miss this one. cause i'...

I can't wait for this game. This is my most anticipated game of the year. It looks amazing, I'm sure will be fun as hell (the first one sucked me in so much that I beat the entire thing in one session. didn't stop til it was over). That second level looks pretty cool too. I'm going to have to stop watching this stuff. It's making me want this game even more and I'm starting to get impatient lol But yea, it's all the lil details in this game (and the first) that really make it stand out and im...

I just want to say one thing. I notice this alot. Fanboys or what have you taking what was said and getting it twisted around. And that's the whole IBM guy quote thing. The guy never said the Xenon was equal to the Cell. All he did was give some humdum PR answer and stated that the PowerPC core was used at the core of both the Xenon and the Cell. That does NOT mean they are equal. Seriously if you people truly think that at this point then there is no help for you. I would think it's fairly o...

First off, UC2 looks AMAZING!!!! Splinter Cell does look pretty damn good, but not THAT impressive that some of you people can honestly sit there and say it puts UC2 to shame. Not happening. Graphics aside though Splinter Cell does look really fun (i've loved playing Splinter Cell games in the past, i'm halfway betting i'll get to play Conviction on my ps3 at some point too). I'm sorry, in my opinion though, nobody is topping Sony and their first party when it comes to graphics etc. Just not ...

usually i'm not one too big on dlc (especially stuff you have to pay for), but when i get to thinking about this, i totally agree. i'm thinking like each dlc be like a treasure map and you sort of go on a mini expedition to find it. maybe with a lil emphasis on puzzle stuff. i could definitely go for that.

well i'd say the desert track is pretty much a given. since he all but did it in the demonstration at the conference. you noticed he put down the dirt track in the inclined turn. then he made that lil surrounding area dirt. so i'd say that's close enough. can maybe even replace the sheep with armadillos lol snow would be cool though. maybe have ways to put water across the track too. or tunnels to go underwater or overwater bridges at least. and of course i can already see people replicating ...

Yea i'm going to have to agree. I've been anticipating a good western game. But i think i'm going to have to choose Red Dead over this one. Can't wait for it to get here either. Some of these trophies do sound a bit interesting though.

Yep definitely want this too. I agree, a well kept secret. And a very satisfying one at that. This actually turned out to be one of my favorite moments of E3. I don't even need to see anymore of this game now, just give me the game. I really love too how easy the creation in this seemed. I loved LBP for the whole creator aspect of it, but i wasn't even remotely good enough to really do that. Just loved the feature for what it allowed the community to do and me to reap the benefits of that. Th...
