Yea this is cool. be great to finally have the full version. i like taking a trip back to the real old classics like this once in a while. I've had the namco museum beta for a while now (went and downloaded it from hong kong store) so even have at least some of the stuff you win from it. but definitely love to get more into it being as how you only get a lil bit from each game, and don't get all the games included in the namco museum.
and irish i agree, home just keeps improving...
I have to agree with TheChosen here, like i was saying before. It's not so much the demo play that's the "problem" here, but rather what it will eventually bring about. Yes, demo play won't directly effect me cause i'll never use it (i don't think), but it will eventually, i think, lead to further "dumbing down" of games. I'll go back to my previous example, no games are made as hard as they were back in the Donkey Kong/Pac-man days. Even like Chosen mentioned, SuperMarioB...
replacing the sixaxis/ds3? meaning the bundle only comes with the motion control and the system itself? let me say this in the words of Vince McMahon: no chance in hell. They would kill theirselves doing something like that (speaking only on ps3 here). Cause games aren't going to suddenly start using only motion control. it will still be a mix of regular and motion games even if they do go all out with it. that's almost as absurd an idea as releasing a blu-ray-less ps3 like so many people cla...
yea Fat Princess coming out would be nice. i'd definitely be all over that. looks to be a really fun game. still a couple others i need to go back and buy too (ie flower) just barely have enough time to play the games i already have as it is.
agreed. though reading the article that's exactly what he says: that titles outside of Sonic are fine, but the Sonic franchise is really in peril. so the title, yes, is definitely wrong for such an article. Other than Sonic, Sega has been doing good. I only have to look at Yakuza 3 and Valkyria Chronicles to know that.
@Omega:
I kind of agree with what you're saying. However I do think this game is plenty tactical. SOCOM type level of tactic would be amazing in this game, but ultimately I just don't think it's realistic. Don't think it could be pulled off too much more tactical than how they have it set up for the fact that there is no AI to "direct" in the programming. Though I do feel, like you mentioned, there will be plenty places in the game where more stealth can be utilized and will b...
@IdleLee:
I won't completely and utterly dismiss everything Microsoft does (though i do come across a bit overzealous at times when on the issue) but seriously they have MAJORLY fallen off since way back in the day. And i think a large reason for that is because of what you said: they keep just getting slaps on the wrist. They need more than that to straighten up. I for one would like to see Microsoft return to its glory but at this rate it's only getting worse. Seems with each passing ...
Well i can obviously see the application for the wand in GOW3 but i seriously seriously doubt it is will. Just not going to happen. Like you said Exgamer: "desperate connection". Wishful thinking really. While i'm sure the first party studios have had kits for this motion stuff for a while now (being that sony already has dev kits out to third party companies too), there is still one thing that just SCREAMS it's not going to be used in GOW3. And that is the belief that it would've a...
Quit being a trolling fanboy. Both natal and sony's motion stand as good a chance as the other to succeed or fail (given that MS actually get natal working properly, which i'm not convinced it does work exactly like they say it does, and can be implemented to the degree they say it can). And don't for one minute think that initial hype due to flashy presentation translates to success. If that were the case then where is the Eyetoy right now? Yea, that's what i thought. It's a second thought a...
Yea i think they're overreacting a bit with the whole "beginning of the end" thing. However, I hate seeing stuff like this. Games start losing part of their value of the years as the become easier and easier because people are obsessed with being able to beat the game with little to no effort at all (other than the time really). Hell i remember back in days when most games i ever played, i never beat. These days we have people comparing and competing over how many 10s of times they'...
"This has nothing to do with a console war (as I could care less), but rather supporting shoddy work."
I second this sentiment tenfold. This is why I do NOT understand how people can get behind the 360 so blindly or any MS product anymore for that fact. Their work since like Windows 3 has just been unacceptable. And what's even funnier is how you got all these people on here now that ragging others for buying shoddy products (the ps3 version of Ghostbusters---which i ag...
I have to agree with the title. This is something that really needs to be packaged in and needs to be pushed aggressively if they want it to truly succeed on a widespread level. Now i'm not sure i'd use the word "fail" cause that sounds a bit harsh. But if they try pushing it as just an add-on it would "fail" just as much as the eyetoy has up to this point. because add-ons don't typically fair all that well, and if it's not universal then developers aren't truly going to u...
Oh. well guess that ruins the thought of multiplayer. All the same, new missions can't be bad for this game. as long as it's not some single mission thing like that one in the last batch.
just noticed somebody said it's 10 missions, which, as long as it's not overpriced, is definitely worth a pickup at some point.
I would absolutely love a sequel. I was late to get this game, but once i did i fell in love with the game. It's amazing. If they do a sequel I'd be there to buy it day one. No doubt about that. I second the sentiment that all ps3 owners should play this game. As for the DLC, I still haven't bought any of it. Though I do want to go back at some point and buy that DLC where you play Selvaria's side of the story. And this one here would indeed be interesting if it was online multiplayer. All th...
I've never watched any of the anime, however I do hear that if you like one then you'll definitely like the other. In essence, really i don't see how you can't like the game at all. The game is awesome, trust me you won't regret getting this game. Some things i do hear are that the art style in the game is better (it truly is beautiful). And i hear the anime takes a few liberties with the story, though not in a way to ruin it. The way i understand it is that the anime concentrates more on the...
I know ever since that demonstration I've been thinking if I did give the whole motion control a try (which odds are that I wouldn't unless something big came for it, cause i don't want to be flailing around when i play video games) that I want to shoot a bow and arrow, when I saw that guy doing it. Of course some medieval game would be cool as it would also have the bow and arrows in there. But I don't see this whole motion control taking off too big anytime soon for the simple fact that tha...
I, also, am sick and tired of all these rhythm games. Like that one guy mentioned, it's just the same thing year after year a la Madden.
Also, I didn't know they weren't going to make Godfather III. That is a little disappointing. I might be in the minority but I had alot of fun with the first one and wasn't disappointed at all. Just goes to show a game doesn't have to be loved by all and score a 9 or more in reviews in order for it to be enjoyable to some people. I still haven'...
I agree. I never was much into Star Wars either, so not much intrigued by anything in that universe. Also, MAG is the one I'm looking forward too as well. If they pull it off right, there might be no reason for me to ever play anything else online ever again (at least any other shooter). The theory of MAG is pretty much my ultimate/perfect idea of online multiplayer shooter. And quite honestly they seem to be well on their way from what I've seen. Just have to see how it all pans out when it ...
lol I'm 28, so no more school or research papers for me thank goodness. However, my senior project in high school was a research paper on the subject. Needless to say (being as i live in the south/bible belt of the US) it caused a bit of a stir and my teacher wasn't too terribly happy about it. Then again she wasn't happy when one day she tried to make us write a lil paper on how democracy was the greatest government in the world. And well, i wrote how theoretically communism is the best gove...
^yea no kidding. the moment i saw this i jumped right to the target site. and lo and behold, 59.99. what the hell? though it does now say that you can only buy the game in store. so are they only selling it in store and they just didn't adjust the price on the website since they're not selling them on there? i'm not driving all the way out to target only to find out that it's still regular price.
