It's funny, not too long ago I got into with a bunch of these bling MS loyalists here (ie really duh etc) and was getting disagrees left and right, not to mention them sitting there taking away most of my bubbles. All because they were blind and (maybe only ignorant teenagers) that didn't believe MS is notorious for shady and unethical business tactics. Their M.O. always has and always will be to push out the competition. Monopoly is what they aim for in any endeavor they pursue. That's why t...

I don't know what all this talk is about Drake HAS to be played by some huge name actor. That's simply not true. Many times, studios will take this opportunity to shoot a lesser known up to superstardom. They typically invest alot of money into production on a movie like this, so it can help to get a lesser/no name who you can pay very little, to help with offsetting the production costs (they do work on a budget here), yet still make it someone who has good acting ability. The less they spen...

Actually when I said GC I did in fact mean the Games Convention (Leipzig). How in the world I didn't know it was cancelled this year, I'll never know. On that note though, after looking it up, Gamescom may very well be fairly big this year. Seems the reason Leipzig was cancelled is because all their support ended up backing Gamescom this year. So I would say that means we're in for a pretty big showing there (not of TGS or E3 showing maybe, but big nonetheless). So in light of that, I think I...

All those producers pretty much attach themselves to anything Marvel related (Avi is the CEO of Marvel Studios)....

Avi has produced: All the Spider-mans, all the X-men, the Blade trilogy, both Fantasic Four movies, Elektra, Daredevil, The Punisher Ghost Rider, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man. And has plenty more in works along the same lines.

Ari (Avi's son) has produced: The Punisher, Ghost Rider, Iron Man and Incredible Hulk alongside his dad, and also produced the newe...

Yea we got GC and TGS coming up. I expect to see alot more concerning this title from those two conferences. Maybe the release date and some more videos (in-game) at GC and a demo at TGS. Then the release coming in the holiday season after building up all that momentum.

I really don't see why people give GT4 so much grief. Granted, A-Spec has been the pinnacle of the franchise in my opinion, and GT4 didn't top that, but by no means was it a bad game. Thought it definitely did well enough to deserve the GT name.

I have to admit GT5P disappointed me. But that's only because it was a tease and made me want even more for GT5 to drop soon. I've since sold GT5P just because I know GT5 is coming soon enough, and wouldn't be getting much for it after that, thus I traded in Prologue towards Infamous. However, Prologue was great for what it was (being so sparse in what it afforded, which I expected, but doesn't compare to what the full game will bring). I still remember my dad coming over while I was playing ...

I guess I'm kinda in the boat that Prototype is in, in that it has it's good and bad sides (trophies that is). On one hand, to some degree, yes it does add a new level of depth to gameplay. But that's only to a degree, because essentially these trophies usually don't add gameplay, they just give you ideas for other goals instead of just beating the game, which you could figure out yourself even without trophies. Like I'll compare a couple games here: Fallout 3 and Oblivion (since in essense t...

Wow. Some people are uptight huh. Y'know, with all the bickering and bullsh*t that goes on here on this site in regards to "serious news", it's nice and maybe even necessary to take a step back once in a while to just have a laugh and be amused. Afterall, I don't know if you know this, but I'll let you in on a secret: Video Games are about amusement and fun.

I thought this article was actually funny. Well written, too.

"...lest Kirby comes and devours...

Agreed. Can't wait to try this out myself. The whole espionage thing does add a nice appeal to it as well. I'll definitely be getting this and putting in some time (and I'm not even an MMO type of person really).

Exactly. I felt the same way about Gun. I enjoyed it, but it just didn't seem to live up to the potential it could've had. Also how it kinda seemed like it wanted to be open-world sandbox but was a really concise version of that. And like you said, just empty feeling. This, if it turns out half as good as it sounds and R* has the potential of doing, could turn out to be the quintessential western game. Exactly what I've been looking for since Gun.

Wow. You're right. My bad, I didn't even notice that.

Yea I'm definitely going to have to jump on this too. Just there are so many good games coming out (some that I'll have to personally put ahead of this too), that I just don't know if I'll have to money to for all of them, so this one might get bumped back. Sony hates when I have spare money in my wallet apparently :(

Agreed Dan. I actually thought the exact same thing. Back when I played Gun, it was fun enough, but through most of it I kept thinking of things to make it better, and hope much better it would be if R* got ahold of a game like that and made it into a huge open-world game. Lo and behold, my prayers have been answered. This is going to be amazing. I was a bit torn at first over Call of Juarez and Red Dead when they were announced, trying to figure out which would whet this appetite for a good ...

I have to agree what I've seen alot of others already say: why not just have the voice actors play the characters on screen?

Really the only character I've thought about has been Drake. I've heard suggestions of some guy from Desperate Housewives or whatever it's called. Someone I saw mentioned Joe Flanigan (who had the look in the couple pics I saw that dude posted). I've thought of another suggestion that I think might work: Sean Patrick Flannery. I think he could pull it off a...

How in the world did this get approved? It's a duplicate story.

AND it's one of the hot stories, so not like that many people could've missed it.

Agreed. Unless they come out with some news like they turned it into a kart racer between now and August lol They've already got my money.

I'd have to agree somewhat that those producers appear to know what they're doing, especially in this action-adventure realm. And as a collective they all have some very good experience (also don't forget that Roven produced Dark Knight and Batman Begins as well), so it stands a good chance of being real good. Though those producers all have some not so great movies to their credit as well. Plus I never heard of that writer, so don't know if he'll end up botching this script or not. In the en...

Going to try to keep this short here, but I agree with you, Paskowitz. In fact, me and a friend used to talk about this all the time. I may be wrong here, but wasn't that in fact part of the point with creating the cell. Communication between devices. Sony had a goal to get that cell in everything from their TVs to their computers to their gaming consoles, etc. Then have it all able to communicate with each other (though I guess this could be another way to go about it, or use both methods). ...

I've never actually played any Ratchet games and I'm sure some of you will chew me out for that lol. However, I did recently pick up Tools of Destruction with the Target sale. Haven't gotten around to playing it yet, due to being tied up with other games (like Infamous). I do have to admit though, it does look really good from what I've seen. I've heard from many that it's a great franchise, so at $15 I had no choice but to give it a shot. I think once I get around to Tools of Destruction, th...
