Agreed Blaze. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this game as well from now on. Does have a striking resemblance to GOW, but that's not a bad thing indeed. The gameplay for this definitely looks fun, but I think the most important aspect to find out about this now is the story (especially given the source material). I really expect the storyline to be truly epic.

Unfortunately I'd almost figure we're more likely to see Bugs in MK than to get a truly gory MK that brings the franchise back to its former glory. Ok...fine...maybe not Bugs, but at least a "MK Invades The Matrix" game or "MK: The Bullies of Hogwarts" lol. Seriously though, definitely won't be surprised to see some kind of sequel to MK-vs-DC. I just don't have much faith in that M-Rated MK that Boon talked about coming true.

Yea I thought it was a good read as well. That lil excerpt where he gets to talking about all the people that are going to get offended by this game. Him joking about "getting sued by every major organization", only to go on and laugh at PETA and tell them to bring it, he'll just enjoy the promotion. That whole lil part made me laugh. I like this guy. In a day and age where games are being censored and cut back in order to appease whichever uptight peoples are offended by said game,...

Agreed. I hope we're wrong as well. I, for one, was very excited when I read that Boon was talking about making the M Rated MK game that we all wanted. Now, just as quickly, it seems that will all be going down the drain. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Warner Bros by any means, just WB and MK doesn't mix (as we've seen). WB has an image to uphold and a TRUE MK would by no means fit into that image/rep.

I still don't see how people are always claiming "Sony's motion presentation was unprepared and rushed at E3". I just don't get that. Did we watch the same presentation? Cause it looks like they came damn well prepared. With everything they had set up and what they showed off, etc. Seemed prepared and not last minute to me.

This is where I think people are getting mixed up, the presenters simply seemed, for lack of better word, intimidated on stage. Lil bit of stage fri...

Yea I can definitely remember the great days of MK. Now my question is this: Boon recently announced that they were going to return Mortal Kombat to its former glory by making an M rated game. So is that out the window now? I mean I just don't see Warner Bros. allowing an M rated game. I have lots of intrigue and faith in their Arkham Asylum game, but I do not see them allowing MK to return to the unnecessary violence and brutality that makes MK, MK. Seems more likely that we'd unfortunately ...

LOL That was f*cking hilarious.

I still need to get this at some point.

First off, this is laughable at best to even think one company with really only 2 games (franchises) that people buy, could even begin to kill Sony. And one of those franchises has a very definite substitute in Rock Band (that Sony Music might even start backing well just to spite Activision if something like this happened). That being said, I'm just laughing this off and moving on.

Now on to the whole Bloodmask thing. I agree that he posts some of the most flamebait lame article...

@meno

I agree man. ND is awesome and I definitely support them whenever I can. UC2 is day one for me, they can definitely have my full $60. That being said, all Sony's first party are awesome. And I just love and admire the way they work together and always willing to help out to further gaming the way they do. Those are some real developers there.

It does appear to be a unique and refreshing game. I, for one, will definitely be picking it up (though I will be waiting til it comes down from that $60 price tag, just doesn't seem worth that, for me, being a sort of gimmicky(?), niche title). Probably won't be my favorite game by any means, but looks like I can definitely have some fun with it. Looks to be a truly beautiful game and fun too since I get to at least pretend about finally going on a fun safari as I never will really (afterall...

"The only crime in gaming is not having enough different games to play."

Very well said. In a time when alot of games are copying each other all the time and when one genre dominates the market, I couldn't agree with you more. I definitely appreciate a diverse game library.

I agree, man. I support creativeness and beyond-the-norm like this. I'm tired of like 9 out of 10 games being a shooter these days. That's what I've always loved about Sony is the diversity of their lineup. Always reading about people getting every shooter that comes out and I just think "how can you essentially play the same game over and over again". I have a couple shooters, couple sandbox games, one game for each sport I'm interested in, a couple action, couple platform. I like ...

Agreed. Everything I've seen of this game it looks really good. It all looks beautiful I think AND it's an open world game. Definitely didn't get how they said it's ugly.

@Gamer
I'm with you. Nature can be a thing of beauty to look at and I see this being a good way to enjoy that. I've always wanted to go on a safari too. However I know I never will, so this seems like a very good substitute.

@Butter
Agreed. Forget what everyone else says. If it appeals to you, play it, simple as that. I know I've had fun with several games before that plenty reviews would bash and wasn't a highly rated game overall. I'm getting this but, like you sai...

@Panthers
Wow, I don't even know what to say to that. Zipper is awesome. They are very well respected developers. Sure SOCOM had some issues online, but that doesn't at all mean Zipper blows by any means. I've never seen a game with no faults of some sort. I've always absolutely loved the SOCOM games (that zipper did). There's a reason they're so well respected.

It's all a matter of opinion. But I'm right there with you Chubear. MW2 doesn't even stand a chance against MAG for me. I mean it's beyond question at this point. I was never into the COD franchise at all really, whereas SOCOM has been my all-time favorite tactical shooter. It's no contest at this point. MAG is day one. MW2 I'll never even consider playing.

6187d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

@Chubear

I think that's exactly how I feel right there. I'm not big on shooter games, and not big on online play. Though I do enjoy getting down on some Killzone from time to time. But Zipper, bringing that SOCOM tactical stuff. Now THAT is what I'm really into when it comes to shooters. I can't wait for this.

6187d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Agreed. This is definitely on my list of games to get too. Probably day one (if I have the money at that time with Sony and all their d@mn games lol). I'm not really that big of an online/multiplayer gamer either, but this has some serious attention from me. Looking like I will love it. And I have to agree too this is looking really good considering it's 256 players online.
