Why isn't the 360 charting? Has it been discontinued? Is this a recent thing or have I just been overlooking it?
One major flaw in your logic.
The 18.5m PS4 figure was sold-through not shipped. So, Gribble is in the ballpark.
19.5-20.0m shipped PS4
10.0-10.5m shipped XB1
Edit: Beaten... What a waste of a bubble :,(
Let me rephrase that for you:
"Looks like console sales are alive and well
18.5m into 123 Countries with a total population of ~1.3 billion
and the remainder into 42 Countries with a population of ~2.3 billion
Well done"
Ignorance is bliss, as they say...
Pachter.
Same here :)
Just had a flashback of all the best moments in Uncharted 3.
Your refering to the "shortly approaching 10m". That announcement came before Black Friday. Since then we have had the two biggest months for console sales of the year. So I wouldn't be surprised if they had passed the 10m mark. NPD has them at 2.5m in NA for Nov/Dec. It all depends on where they were before November and how much they managed to sell in Europe. I don't think it's far fetched to have XB1 at 10.5m-11.0m. But we can't really say one way or another, at l...
VROOOM! VROOOM VROOOOM!
Those engine sounds are majestic. I gotta pick this game up soon.
Awwww Yeah, time for some Tokyo Drift
Probably 60. I bet the focus will be on content this go-around. It will look better than FM5 for sure, but the amount of cars/tracks/race types will be the real difference between the two.
A bit further away than I expected, but glad it's making its way over.
That moment when you realize over half of the remasters are from Square Enix. SMH...
I'm not fond of the Vita's price. I'd rather buy 3-5 games rather than shell out 169$-199$ for a Vita. Nothing wrong with the system or its games (I've got over 20 of them already thanks to PS+).
Like I said before, I don't see the point of PS Vita TV. I don't want to play handheld games on my tv. Why take the mobile out of handheld gaming? On top of that, I can't take advantage of remote play because my college's networks block it. In other w...
To be completely honest with you, I don't see the point of the PS TV. I would rather play handheld games on a handheld. The only exception would be if it were ported to consoles with the works (Up-res, DS4 support, better textures, DLC, ETC...). I'm also secretly hoping franchises like God Eater and Freedom Wars find their way to consoles (but that's probably just me being selfish).
Was hoping for a PS4 version. Bummer... I really want to play Freedom Wars, but I just can't justify spending ~200$ on a Vita.
All-in-One Entertainment device, indeed.
You really expect PS4 can move 30m units per year on average?
Or, now that the first year is over, roughly 32m units a year for the next four years?
I would love to be wrong, but no way. Just being a realist.
PS2 had a stranglehold on the market. It snuffed out the GameCube and Xbox and even impacted sales of the next generation of consoles after it. Not to mention 25m of its sales came from Japan. A market that has shrunk significanty. Console sales totaled l...
Some key points:
- PS4 > XB1 for Black Friday and Cyber Monday
- XB1 > PS4 for Black Friday week
- XB1 > PS4 for November
- PS4 > XB1 for December
- PS4 > XB1 for for December + November
All in all, PS4 easily took the UK in 2014
Yeah, all I'm worried about is 343 being able to launch Halo 5 problem-free. I'm sure they want to rebound from MCC.
Smoothly launched AAA games in 2015 was my New Year's wish.
Exactly what I came here to comment.
I'm hoping for more console love, since their last game announcement was
SaGa for handhelds.
Thanks was just wondering.
I see they also dropped the PSP as well. XB1 is actually nearing those same lows. But I guess it won't be dropped because being a new gen console makes it relevant enough. That is, as long as MS sees it worthwhile for XB1 to be sold in Japan.
