The gap has grown every single month since launch they both launched. The gap shrinking could not be any farther from the truth.

The author may be referring to North America only, but even then, he is still wrong. The gap has been widenening since January and doesn't look to change at least until October when Halo destroys everything. Then in November/December because of CoD and Tomb Raider (Again NA only). Basically things are looking like a 2014 repeat.

Funny, especially because given the lineup of the first 10 months of 2015.
I would say-

Sales = PS4
Games = PS4

Opinions may vary. Regardless PS4 and XB1 will have great 2015 in both categories.

Bloodborne (PS4) – 9/10/9/8
Ori and the Blind Forest (XBO) – 9/9/9/9
Battlefield Hardline (PS4/PS3/XBO/360) – 9/9/8/8

Ori and Bloodborne were expected, but Battlefield comes out with a 34/40. The Battlefield name remains strong in Japan.

There's more customization overall. There's themed consoles, faceplates, colors, lightbar skins, and controller skins.

Even if you have a standard PS4 there is plenty of room for customization.

It's 30$ for 2 years by the way.
Imo more than worth it, just for the 20% off alone. Then throw in 10$ reward credit for preorders and extra credit for trade-ins and other purchases. It's a no brainer.

Been playing all day today. Game is everything you expect and more. (For better or worse)

Right. Still doesn't say much for VGC's tracking ability because now they are 400k+ over tracked in a single region.

PS4 was undertracked by almost 1m when Sony announced 20.2m. They don't have any information to go off of with XB1, so they are likely just guessing on that front. Their hardware numbers are within the ballpark, but still rough guesstimates at best. Their software is completely unreliable.

Getting those servers ready for Bloodborne.
There will be so much blood shed on March 24th.

And so the nightly hunt begins...

It's most likely a price drop for PS4. In terms of console sales boosters a price drop is the biggest. The other thing besides a big name exclusive would be a new peripheral (like kinect).

Dark Souls 2 launched earlier in March than Bloodborne on multiple platforms and sold roughly 1.5m. Ignoring the 140m or so install base difference, 1m in Bloodborne's launch month is hardly a given. It will probably sell better in Japan than I predicted, maybe 200k+, but that would change my prediction to 800k. It will be close, but I'm taking the under.

A million worldwide by March's end may be a stretch, but I can definately see it doing over 700k and probably finishing the year above 2m. I'm guessing it will launch to 300k+ in US, 100k+ in Japan, and 300k+ in EU.

If reviews and word of mouth are good (I've no doubt they will be), this game will sell well for a very long time. LTD should sneak up on 3m if not clear it.

God, I love this developer.

It was glorious. Glorious brutality.

Nice effects too. The lighting and fur simulation were impressive.

Halo Master Chief Collection launched Feb 19 in Japan. That's the reason.

Xbox One may go even higher (is that even possible?!?) when the white Xbox One + MCC bundles launches next week.

All of that is what made the game fun. Nothing wrong with a challenge. Just get good... The only difficult parts of the game were a few timed side missions and a boss encounter here and there.

P.S Always look for the single-seater cars, or at least the double-seater with two separate bodies. Better control, more speed.

Jak II was by far my favorite followed by III. Precursor Legacy is fun to play through for that good old nostalgia trip/retro 3d platformer gameplay.

The only thing unique about The Order is its setting and graphics. The general consensus in all of these reviews is that they did indeed play it safe. This has nothing to do with what genres or franchises that are popular. If the game was anything better than mediocre, then reviews would reflect that.

"Safe" or "Not Safe" means little in the grand scheme of things. Every game comes down to a simple "Is it fun to pick up the controller and play?"....

I'd rather listen to reviews than shell out 65$-70$ for a game that is widely criticized. Reviewers exist for a reason. That's the reason I cancelled my preorder. I would much rather spend that money saved on something like MKX or Bloodborne.

PS4 becomes the second best selling dedicated gaming device for 2015 after passing the Vita's YTD:
